HI Express Inn Anaheim Maingate or Fairfield Inn Marriott or other close suite??

Hi all, we are in DL from Sept 30-Oct 5 and need 2 rooms. One for 2 adults and 3 kids and one for Grandma! Ideally, we would like a 1 bdrm suite so we have a separate room for the kids but that is kind of hard to find in a hotel close to DL that doesn't break the bank!!! We are booked into the Fairfield Inn in a standard 2 queen room but with 5 I think it will be tight. We were offered the rate of $139 for a 1bdrm suite at the Holiday Inn Express for a 1 bdrm suite and $99 for a king room for my Mom.

Anyone know if the HI would be better or if you know of any other nice hotels with a reasonable suite within walking distance to Dl? I am finding this quite tough!!!

We're staying at the Desert Inn and Suites across the street. It has a suite that has 4 queens and a separate 'parlor'. It's not super fancy but it does have one and a half baths? They have a website where you can check it out. anaheimdesertinn.com

We are huge fans of Homewood Suites. They have one bedroom (w/ 2 queens or 1 king), bathroom, living room w/pullout sofa and a full kitchen. They offer a free breakfast and free dinner on Monday - Thursday (w/ soda, wine, beer). I love the full kitchen. While I don't normally cook on vacation we always by large bottles of water to put in the full size freezer and snacks.

They may have a special during your visit for 4th night free. I've also seen a prepay rate of $126 per night.

Try the Howard Johnson. Great location, very reasonable and they have a group of rooms called "Kids Suites" with 2 rooms - one with a king bed and one with a bunk bed set and a pullout couch. Kids and parents each get their own bathroom and own TV - plus there is a fridge and microwave. Property has a little water park, pool. Only downside is that Grandma may end up in a different building than the rest of you - possibly an upside if it's an inlaw

Hi, the Howard Johnson is booked solid, drat! We are looking at the Carousel Inn as it has a basic continental breakie and is close. The club rooms look decent, not sure though! Still undecided, it's tough when there is 6 of us!

anyone know how far the Holiday Inn Express Maingate is from the entrance? Is it a much further walk than either the Fairfield inn or Carousel Inn??

Or the Ramada Maingate at the Park, anyone stayed there recently? will it satisfy some of our hotel snobs in the family??? lol

Have you looked into the Residence Inn Maingate, close location (10-15min walk at the most), included breakfast -great suites

Hi! Yup, we booked finally at the Ramada Maingate today in a Premium room, got a super rate and the manager, Jessica, was awesome to deal with!!!!

Now I need to figure out how to do disneyland and california land and the halloween party all in four days!!!
