Oh my goodness, it's great to be BACK!! I am feeling a little guilty having stayed away so long... I have to confess I didn't know when I'd be back to any Disney park the way life was going... so it was bittersweet to hang around the boards... but... life has a way... and guess what! Dec. 12, Liav and I are taking off to DLP for a whole week!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

So here I am again... it's so nice to see familiar names and faces! You've all been so chatty and busy in my absence, I have to look over the discussion going backward to see all I've missed!! FUN!!!

You are all so great - so cheerful and positive, the real Disney Spirit lives on this board!!

I'm sure I'll think of questions concerning my upcoming trip, but meanwhile wanted to say HI to everyone, and since I was at DLP for a week last winter and the winter before, maybe I can help others with their questions to make up for all the time I've missed!!

Hi Jody!! Glad to see you and Liav will be back at DLP very soon!! Hope Liav is now fully recovered from her accident! We went to DLP a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful time. The new Enchanted Fairytale Ceremony (slightly different from last year) is really fantastic! Have a lovely time - and remember we'll be expecting your usual l-o-n-g trippie!!!

Hi Elaine and Diana! Yes, thank you, Liav is doing great, and has been cleared for Big Thunder riding by all the doctors. YAY! In September she had an additional surgery and they gave her the little pieces of metal that had been holding her face together in little plastic sack - she was thrilled! She looks great, and has a new camera, so if she'll let me get my hands on it I'll take photos of her on the rides and post them with my trippie when we get back.

By the way we will be staying at the Sequoia. I thought we'd go to Castle Club at the Disneyland again, but after thinking it over I decided it was nice one time but not a necessary expense considering the Sequoia has all we need and is about 1/4 the price! And have I mentioned I'm SO EXCITED???

I'm so happy you are still here too ! As you see in my previous reply, we'll be at the Sequoia. Do you happen (or doesn anyone else?) to know whether they have wireless internet access? I finally have a laptop and want to keep up some work while on vacation. I know... lame!

Becky you are right - I just booked yesterday! Waited for Liav to get cleared by her doctors, who insist that it is now okay to go on everything! Even RnR and Big Thunder - all bones are even stronger than before, supposedly! So off we go! I just phoned up, ordered a Fantasia Annual Passport for Liav and a Dream AP for myself. Having the AP allowed me to get a really good deal at Sequoia - only 780 Euro for 6 nights!! It was a breeze. And they now send the confirmation letters and AP vouchers by email, so we are already all set.

Thanks Jody.... lots of people on here have helped me to make my decision to book the sequoia. I'm glad I did. I know you must love it, to be going back again. If you've got any hints or tips, I'd love to hear them.

I don't think we've met before, but just wanted to say welcome back . I don't get to spend enough time on this board these days but its nice to drop in when I can and keep in contact with everyone. I can't say that I noticed internet access in the SL when we were there in July but that doesn't mean much.

I'm very pleased to hear that Liav is doing well and will be able to ride BTM. I was wondering about the two of you the other day and hoping that everything was ok.

I am going to Sequoia Lodge in January so I will be very eager to read your trip report

Have you seen Fantillusion before? It looks fantastic and worth braving the cold weather for. Iexpect Liav will want a few photos of that!

Laura my darling!!! How good to hear and see your colorful bouncy post!! How is DGH? I am so upset that we miss you by only 2 weeks!! Next year we must try to coordinate our trips - I would love to meet you and G in person!

Rosie, a big hi to you as well, and YES we have seen Fantillusion many times and it IS worth braving ANY weather!! There are a few pics that Liav took of the parade last year on my trip report from Jan. 2005 in case you want to check it out. I recommend standing in front of the castle, facing Main Street, just a few meters to your right from the center of the castle court. That is where several of the villain transformations take place. You will LOVE the parade!
