HHN website

check out the poster they have now for hhn on fb.

a bit of a change on the hhn site.
first page shifted the pics around.

tanx homie!

last year i was #2 in booking a private tour.
this year i cut back on sleeping to watch the hhn website for the tour release info.

i checked the website at various times in the day and night.
can't help being so driven.
completely and totally addicted to hhn......

tonight i can sleep all night long.

with dreams of zombies filling your head;)

not that long.

it usually is congo style.

you are not able to stop and look around unless the person in front of you screams, jumps back on your feet and you all stand there waiting for them to move forward again.

if the line is moderate, you could be out within 4 mnutes, depending on the house.

So would you suggest doing Friday and Saturday night? Or is one night enough. We are planning to stay onsite and do Stay and Scream.

Okay so one more time... someone tell me if I got this right before I start planning.

Oct 18th -21st 4 of us will be staying at the RPR which is onsite. We plan to HHN or either Friday, Saturday or both nights (maybe some one can tell me which is better)

So... if I understand correctly we tickets to the park (IOA / US) and then we have to purchase tickets to HHNs. And then we need Stay and Scream tickets.

Is this correct?

lycaon answer these questions earlier to you.

at this point, i don't know.
but typically, the crowds tend to increase around the time period you plan to go to hhn.
when you look at the cost of the epp/express pass plus, you can see they are at a higher rate than the weeks prior to your visit.

below is the cost of the express pass for HHN.
saturday the 20th, they are about $90 a person.
that is for one house/show/ride you can use the express lines.

to me, that is an indicator of UO expecting large crowds.

friday oct 19, they are $10 cheaper.

either way, i would expect to see longer lines for houses in the parks on both days.

thur and sunday the epp is at $70.

HHN EXPRESS PASS
Add HHN Express Pass to your admission ticket to bypass the regular lines at all haunted houses and participating rides and attractions.

Sept 21, 27, 30, Oct 17, 24, 31$39.99
Sept 22, 28, Oct 4, 7, 11, 28$59.99
Sept 29, Oct 14, 18, 21, 25, 26$69.99
Oct. 5, 12, 19, 27$79.99
Oct. 6, 13, 20$89.99

by staying onsite, you will be able to use the express lines during the daytime in the park.
do the rides you want during that time period and not during hhn.

stay in the park holding area when it closes, so you can do about 3 houses before hhn opens to the general public.

try to stay ahead of the line.
once you do the first 3 houses, go to the back of the park where the house lines might be shorter.

don't use the express passes until the line waits are really long.

that way you can repeat houses later in the evening with your ep.

i only have been that late in the season one time.
i really try to avoid long lines in the parks and crowds.
i always buy the ep to help out with lessoning time waits.

When the park is very crowded, it's not only the lines you are facing.
it's lines to the rest rooms, walking in the park, food/beer counters, etc.

only suggestion i can make is to plan on both nights for hhn.
that way you can hit the places you miss on one night and do it the next.
also, buy the ep.
or hope for rain storms as it does thin the crowds at.

The prices for those express passes are insane. Are they really that helpful?

it will cut your wait time down for the houses.

i know in years past, homies have posted how long they waited in line.

maybe someone reading this thread will jump in and tell how the ep helped them when they went later in the month.

i have no experience for hhn in the time period of that poster is going.

Very helpful information MaCraven. When do YOU typically go to HHN? Seems like you have a pretty good idea on crowd levels.

i prefer going during the columbus day time period.
i can hit 4 nights in a row, th-sun then.

i am at disney the time period prior before i move onsite at the darkside.
sometimes i have gone for a one night that weekend before i move to UO.

All booked! We are doing a private tour and ROF w/ express and the UTH tour. So excited!

Yes...wait times can surpass two hours per house on busy nights. Obviously Friday/Saturday evenings are more expensive than other nights but you're right...they are out of control. But as long as people keep buying them the price will continue to go up.

Thanks for all the help!

I have my hotel package from October 25-28 with HHN Express tickets the 25th and 26th

What hotel are you staying at? How much was the cabana rental?

The HHN Twitter and Facebook just posted that the date for the final reveal is August 30!

I hope I don't have to work that day... I'm going to be bouncing off the walls. lol

We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. I originally rented the standard Cabana for $180 but upgraded to the one at the end near the Adult spa and slide.
Upgrade is $230. I thought $180 was high enough then I got a rebate I was not expecting and thought UPGRADE!
