If you arrive at the holding area around 4:45 you should avoid waiting in line. Some nights the line can get long. They'll scan your ticket to make sure it's valid and that's it.

Which line gets very long? The one in the holding ares? I'm confused. Sorry, I guess i'm trying to clarify what goes on in the holdiing area. I have visions of a large group of people storming out of a pen all at once towards a house. thanks

A line will form around 5pm of people who are trying to get into the holding area and since people wait until the park closes, there is usually a back up. Each ticket has to be scanned by a hand held device before you will be let into the holding area. It's not a big deal if you get there early.
One you're in the holding area, stake out a seat and just hang out, look at the park map to get a plan of attack going or people watch. Once the holding area is released, it's kind of like storming out but you aren't allowed to run and most people don't.

thanks that helps a lot. Just one more question: where does the line for the holding area start? We really don't want to wait until 5pm. The earlier the better. There will be enough waiting in line once HHN starts that night.

there are homies that will go on rides before 5:00 and when they get off, go to the holding area.

they just show their hhn tix if told to leave the park.

every once in awhile you will find peeps entering the SnS section around 5:30.

if they were in line for a ride before it was closed off, they can continue to stay in that line, ride the ride, then come to the holding area.
