Hhn 2012

:lmao:

I guess wife has finally given in...

No diamonds, but lots of help with house chores... :scared:

I've been doing :laundy: and helping out cleaning.

So when do the AP discounts come out for Sept? In July?

Cheers!

Marquibiri :thumbsup2

for the hotel rooms?

some dates are already out. i modified my rates in May when ap rates came out.
i am using the october ap discounts for my room and the remainder dates i am staying there the SMSM rates.

right now the ap rates for the hotels go up to oct 4th.

i'm happy that the Mrs is letting you go again this year!

Here comes my problem.
I have booked the Orlando Flex ticket at an german TA. How can I prove it to get the SS-Tickets?
Or am I only able to buy them when I get there?

just like Little Mermaid said, show your flex ticket and buy your hhn tix when you are at the park.

don't worry about sell outs.
the only thing that could sell out are the express passes on some dates.

Is this the official HHN thread?

are the express tickets available yet? I added the HHN tickets to my on site reservation last week but at that time the cast member said express passes were not available yet..when do they become available?

thanks!

No...we'll sticky the official thread. Express Plus passes will usually be available in late July.

the only official info is from the HHN website.
many of those that post on the threads concerning HHN are regular attendees.
they share info on their experiences.

express passes have not been released yet.

i imagine they will be posted mid to late july.

looking at past receipts i have, last year i bought mine august 1st.
the year prior on July 31.

peeps can buy the hhn tickets now and later buy the express passes when they are available for sale.

Can you buy the express passes online without buying any other ticket?

Hi there,
Being seasoned HHN fans you are probably all going to despair at my questions but...here goes.

We are going to Florida October/November and have been planning what we are doing and totally coincidentally the one night we had nothing planned was Halloween. So my hubby suggested looking at HHN, and we booked tickets.

So first the LOGICAL questions:

1. The tickets come just giving the list of dates (ours doesn't include Saturdays), does it mean you can just go ANY night? And if that's the case, one of the nights listed is Halloween night, so would we be able to just go on that night or do you have to notify someone which date you decide to go?
So, is there a capacity? Do they only let so many in? Thing is, we stop in Lake buena vista area so it's a fair way to travel and turn up and be turned away (but also the first day we activate our tickets gives us Halloween as the last day available to go)

2. Are the rides open on the nights too, or is it just the shows/street performers/houses
(could someone give me a bit of an idea what to actually expect *** being honest I am TERRIFIED already).

And a less logical question, and one you will all despair at. I know the idea is to scare people, and I am sure guests who react are probably an easy target, but, do they just sort of scare you and move on, and they can't touch you - right?

I know it sounds daft but my hubby n the kids think its going to be fantastic, but I'll admit I am scared thinking about it and have watched videos on YouTube, but I don't want to spoil it for them, so am trying to mentally prepare myself so that I don't freak out and ruin it for them.

So any tips very welcome.

Thanks.

did you buy a pass?
FF allows the dates on the pass to be used on all or any of those dates listed.

if you have a hhn ticket, you will be let into the park when you go.

the FF does not include Saturday dates for admission.

or, did you buy tickets for a non peak night?
if that is the case, still not a problem to enter the park when you do go if it is wed-thur-sun-

hhn includes about 4 rides opened, scare zones, scare houses (7 at this point) and a couple of shows.

scare actors can not touch you and you can not touch them.
you won't have any problems.

how old are your kids that you are taking to hhn?

go and have fun at hhn.
i live for hhn........

Just to check with the experts... We've always purchased the Stay and Scream but this year we're thinking of the Rush of Fear in order to do multiple nights the weekend of Sept 28th - 30th. It looks like a great deal but do we miss out on anything not doing Stay and Scream? We already have 3-day park tickets from Costco for the daytime festivities.

i always buy the multi day pass for hhn.
plan on the rof also but will buy mine in august w/ap.

if you are going multiple nights, you could take a pass on the express pass for each night.

what you don't see one night, you can catch another night.
earlier in the hhn season, the crowds are not that bad.
it's the middle of the month where the express is really needed.
jmo.

do the stay and scream holding area and one night go with the flow of the group to the main houses nearby.

the next night reverse the order and go to the houses farther away from the holding area.

i'm completely and totally obsessed with HHN so i buy the express for each night if i need it or not........

my goal each night is to catch Team A and B in action so if i miss on the timing, i repeat the houses until i do catch each team in the house and streets.

Thanks for reply.

Yes we already bought tickets. We would have been buying universal tickets anyway, but when I looked I could get 14 day pass including HHN on certain nights (I think it's all nights except Saturdays) so that's what I got.

Like I said the night we are looking at IS Halloween night anyway, and I think how amazing to spend Halloween night in Universal studios Orlando. We are from UK and Halloween really isn't big over here, except kids have started to trick or treat now but it's not like how you do it in the US, it's like a group of people you have never seen before in your lives buy a mask from the shop knock at your door and expect money. So.....I think this will be amazing, but just need to calm my nerves :rotfl:

My kids are 14 and 16, and my daughter (14) in particular thinks it is going to be fantastic.

your entire family, especially the kids are going to be 'wowed' by the hhn experience.

tell your daughter hhn is awesome!

she'll be so thankful you are taking her to it, she'll probably clean your house every weekend out of gratitude.

well, maybe she will at least clean her room without you asking instead of house cleaning for a year....

This is what I was wondering about... you can get the ROF with the AP now right, we have the AP and looks like you can buy them now on the website right?

And so if you have day passes and the ROF card, you can also stay in park with the Stay and Scream guests at Finnegans then?

Yes...you can purchase the ROF passes now. The AP price is $54.99 plus tax which is an excellent discount!

As long as you have a day ticket...any kind of day ticket and a valid HHN ticket for that night, you can do S & S.

I was going to do a Multi day HHN tickets. It really stinks they do not include the night of Oct 27th.

We check in Oct 27th and leave the 31st super early..So I wanted to buy the multi day for the 27/28 any suggestions?

Late event Saturdays are not often included because it's very busy that last weekend. If you want to go both Saturday and Sunday night, your only option is to purchase both tickets at the S & S discount provided you already have theme park tickets. The discounted prices would be $103.98 (two tickets) plus tax for S & S both nights. If you aren't going to have theme park tickets, you're going to have to purchase general admission for both nights. Buying a Frequent Fear Pass for Sunday wouldn't make much sense for one night and the Rush of Fear isn't valid after October 7th. You would probably be better off just going Sunday night and buying Express when they are available. With the S & S discount it's only $36.99 per ticket plus Express if you decided to add that on.

I don't know...there really isn't any good deal because 10/27 is not included for the Frequent Fear Pass. If you aren't passholders, you're looking at a pretty expensive two nights.

Thanks..I guess I am just going to stick with the 28th and just go one night. Hopefully the crowds will be less and we will get alot more done.

Based off what I've learned thru the HHN regulars here, I wouldn't could on the crowds that last Sunday being that much less. Sunday's aren't as slow as they used to be, and that Last weekend means that it would be the last chance for many people to attend HHN for the year.

Crowds will still be lighter than they are on Saturday, but they'll still be pretty heavy. Express would be HIGHLY recommended so that you can avoid getting stuck in 2hr lines for the houses.
