Hhn 2007

They had a scare zone and I think they had Scary Tales in SL didnt they?
But yeah, the widow is very protective over that area.

yup scary tales and i don't think it fit the theme for hhn.......

more of a mickey type party.

we don't need pixie dust for hhn,
we need more mummy dust.........:rolleyes1

I don't recall any houses in SL, at least no formal entrance in SL. Two years ago they had fog and played the normal music backwards for a kind of creepy effect, but word on the boards was that they had to beg the Widow Suess to do even that.

Agreed we've seen enough of Jack to last another decade or so. Not real anxious to see the Terra Queen again, either.

ARE YOU INSANE?? Terra Queen was HOT.....and eelmouth was pretty intense. "We need to make sure she's dead....how bout we tickle her!!!"
Last night of Horror Nights they sacrificed the Queen.

no houses were in seussland.....the widow is strict how seussland is presented. any changes have to go through her.

the last year when hhn was in both parks, you could use the walk way between blue fish and cat in the hat to get to the other park area.
children of the corn or something like that was the scarezone after you got passed the buildings.
yea, they had some fog in seussland that year.

the terra queen.....
blasmaphy..........she was beautiful and i'm a girl saying that.
how could no one want the queen back?

Has HHN been in both parks at the same time more than once? What years?

Is this the Terra Queen?

last year, 2006, hhn returned to where it started at.....the studios.
year before it was at both parks.

think it was 2003 when they used the foam, boy i loved that, in the area right after spiderman ride.

Gotta love gossip... With that said, there's no chance of anything mentioned in this thread actually coming to fruition (except for the 8 houses part. That's happening.) It's all pretty ridiculous and random, to say the least.

BTW, Seuss Landing has been used as the gateway to the soundstage houses but not much else. Seuss's widow won't allow it. Shame too, since it's the perfect canvas for a scarezone in the spirit of Scary Tales.

F-L-A, i agree, the rumors and gossip keep the threads hopping on HHN speculation.

if you did the survey that was sent out by UO, you can tell they are testing the waters by asking questions that pertain to HHN being a 7 day a week/night event.

i think they are trying to get a handle on this to see how much more money they can bring in. maybe they are hopeful that it will lessen the big crowds on saturdays. who knows.....

maybe after they review the surveys, it might push their decision to the edge of what they will really do on dates for hhn.

i don't see how they can staff HHN if it is opened every night in october.
many of the employees and scare actors work day jobs or go to school.
where are they going to get the employees to staff hhn then if it is nightly?

i would hate for it to be "watered" down and skimp on weekend employees/scareactors if it goes to a nightly event.

i liked that surveys were sent out for input of the park guests that attend hhn. i would like to think they appreciate our opinions.

Yeah, eelmouth was entertaining--especially Halloween night when he had to put the costumed 70s "track team" in their place for stealing his spotlight. But in terms of hotness, bring back "Darkness" from Legend and his brides.

That was the Mullet Marathon. They are always looking for a finish line....we had them on the beerfest show, they're great.
No, the queen....and all of her glory needs to come back. Actually, I dont care...just have Roxie come back....she as I understan played the queen and was hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooottttttt. If you like that sort of thing....which I do.

I'm pretty sure they can always find another role for her. She was in Deadtropolis last year. Should I take it that's where you spent all your time?

We are staying at the Portofino Bay the last weekend in Sept. I was just wondering if the onsite guests get to use express like they do in the park normally?? Also are the rides open?? Such as the Mummy?

No on express for hotel guests at the haunted houses (at least in years past). Yes, most of the rides remain open, including Mummy. Not sure if hotel express still works on the rides during the event, tho.

No, your hotel room key works for front of the line during
regular park hours only. Hhn is a seperate hard ticket event.
They do have most of the rides open but you will have to
go the regular line.
I don't ride any rides at hhn , except maybe jaws, the parks are
not crowded at all during the day, if only attending hhn one night
express is worth it.

Agree, crowds are very light during the day. At 4pm the place becomes packed as everyone heads to the stay and scream area. I usually take a ride on The Mummy just before the event starts. The only other ride I go on is Dueling Dragons because that's in the dark.

robvia, i would agree with you but since 2000 i have attended hhn and starting to see a change in the pattern.

last year the crowds started around 2:30 on saturday.
i tried to eat at finnegans, got there around 3 and had the longest wait to be seated.....and for the food.

i know each weekend is always different. i have always stayed with the first weekend or the second weekends. the last 2 years the opening weekend didn't include sunday so i passed on that for the 2nd weekend.

i come too far to only do hhn for 2 nights. gotta do it 3 nights in a row.

i do like you do.
the daytime is when i ride.
hhn is for the houses and scarezones for me.

exception to the rides for hhn, i do go on mummy and jaws.
ioa was not open last year for when i was there. if it was, i would have been on dueling dragons also.

We went last year and splurged for the express passes and I was glad we did. If you want to experience the place I would recommend those. We did every haunted house twice (no more than 10 min wait) as well as all the scare zones and shows. If you don't like the crowds, get the fast pass and no more hour wait lines.
