HHI trip coming in September..Can we fish?

We are going on our first trip to HHI in a few weeks. Our DS5 and DS2 love to fish!! Where should we take them to fish that is close to the resort? We would appreciate any suggestions of things to do. Thanks so much.

The fishing pier right at the resort! There's even a sink there to clean up whatever they might pull in, if you're so inclined.

You can buy bait at the recreation rental window. They also sell crab nets there.

There is also a freshwater lagoon over by the office complex across from the resort. I have actually seen (and heard) fish jumping there. Not sure if it's permissable to fish there or not; I would assume it is, since it's a man-made lagoon and the fish had to have been stocked...

They will probably love crabbin too, our dd still does it at 16 - buy chicken necks at the grocery store!
