HHI golf carts

Has anyone else been hit or almost hit by Disney employees speeding around in golf carts? My 8 month old son in a stroller was 1 inch away from being hit by one head on in the parking garage near the elevator today. The employee said sorry and sped off. After I called the front desk, he called me an hour later to apologize. Richard didn't bother to ask if we were ok before he sped off. My husband commented on how fast these carts are speeding around. Since they are electric, they are so quiet that I did not hear it. You would think that a parking garage next to the elevator, they would know that kids could be there and be careful.

Would it do any good to call member satisfaction? How do I contact them? I don't want any kids killed by a careless driver.

I haven't, but I think I would stop in to the check-in area and ask to speak to the resort manager. If he/she isn't available, ask for a time to stop back.

I was sorry to hear of the almost accident and thankful no one was hurt. I'm assuming you already stopped by the desk to talk to the manager or called or at least I remember you said you did and that is when the cm gave you a call to apologize. Hopefully he and other cm's will be much more careful. They certainly should be in that garage!

Have to say we've been visiting DIsney HHI for the last five summers and have never had any incident. We always think the cm's there are the best, they are sweet and very friendly. HOpefully this was a very isolated incident and all the cm's will be much more careful now driving around.

Thanks. The resort manager contacted me and apologized. He said they are checking the governors on the carts. They did seem slower today so maybe it will be safer!
