HHI Child/Teen Activities

The last time we went to HHI, ds enjoyed the children's activities. This trip, he will be a few months shy of 13. If the child activities are filled with younger children, will he be able to participate in some of the teen activities? I wouldn't put him in if it was all 17 y/o's, but I think he'd be more comfortable with kids closer to his own age. He's a fall birthday, so most of his friends have already turned 13, and would fall into the "teen activities."

We're tossing around the idea of letting him bring along a friend to keep him company, but this could further complicate the whole child/teen activity thing...

It really depends on what time you are at HH. Our DS fell into the same situation last spring but she was able to find kids around her age to hang-out with during the kids activities. I think during the busier time periods they schedule more teen activities.

Thanks! That makes me feel better. We're going to be there for a week, starting on Memorial Day weekend, so things should be starting to ramp up. All he needs is one or two other kids to hang out with, and he'll be fine. I'm sure it will all work out, and I'll laugh at myself for worrying about it.
