HHI at thanksgiving?

because I was not sure what was the appropriate board to post this question on--I have repeated this from the Mousellaneous DVC board:

we are considering HHI at thanksgiving next year and I am curious how much luck we will have at the 7 month window? would we be better off booking thanksgiving at BWV and then trying to trade w/ someone? or trying to book ourselves at HHI?

At 7 months, good luck! Maybe if you want a 2 BR, it won't be so bad, but for a 1 BR or a studio, we went on the waiting list last year and it never came thru. However, a 1 BR was available on member's cash and it's not overly expensive, so that's what we did. However, we're considering an add-on in the future for Thanksgiving at HHI. It's just too hard to get anything at 7 months. This year, again, there wasn't a 1 BR available so we took member's cash, and waited for a room to come thru on points. Unfortunately, it never did, so we're doing cash again. Add-on, here we come!

thanks for the info. we will need a 2br so that may work to our benefit. I am thinking we might have better luck trying to trade....
