Hey Mom, Do I get to be the line leader again? A PTR…(My TR has started! - 6/1)

I love that thread with all the ideas for Disney-theme nights. I think it'll be so much fun to do that for my kids or my nieces/nephews if Weird and I decide not to have kids. It's such a great way to satisfy that Disney craving and to also bond as a family!

Hope you're kickin' butt at the race Megan! :goodvibes

It's soggy here today as well. Josie had two games this week and both were cancelled due to rain. :headache: I just hope all this rainy weather is over by May 22. :goodvibes

I did read that thread and got some ideas from there. I am loving doing these meals. We are celebrating every single week, so it is extending our excitement for the trip. We're all getting to spend time with each other, and you can't beat that.

I did kick some butt at the race. I may have been slow, but I finished it.

It was a lot of fun! Do one! It's just great fun!

Saturday Night we had our first Disney Theme Night!!! We did Toy Story Night!! We had so much fun picking out a few decorations and then coming up with what to call food and what to do together! It was great, I will have to post some pics later this week on my PTR. Thanks for posting about your disney theme night.

How fun!!! Sam asked for a Toy Story night the other day, but I kinda didn't want pizza. You'll see what was picked as areplacement in just a little bit. I'll have to come check out your PTR to see how your night went.

Hey Becky! Clearly, I understand your lack of reading lately. I certainly didn't think that you dropped all the boxes in the middle of the move to see what I was doing here on the disboards. Although, that would have been pretty cool....;)

So, after a frustrating morning of trying to upload pictures to PB, I am finally ale to do my update.

My race was yesterday morning. I finished in 39 minutes even. Not best time by a long shot, but good considering the conditions. I started running when it was cold outside, so a day with 100% humidity, 81 degrees, and a 20-30 mph wind was a huhge difference to me. I normally run the 5K in 33 minutes, so the weather definitely slowed me down. Now, I have to say this. I have the most wonderful husband and a fantastically dedicated friend. Bryan and Randy told me they would run it with me at my pace. What they didn't realize was how short my strides were because I am 5'2". They stuck by my side the entire time. What made it even better was that both of my boys were cheering for me at the finish line.

Later that evening, we headed over to my sister-in-law's house for our second Disney night. After hearing about how much fun we had at the first one, Randy was game to try them out. The plan was to get ther for 6, but the boys were getting antsy. We got there a little before 5 to help Sonny and Stacey get everything ready. We had so much fun helping them!

The menu?

Sammy, Cooper, and Sierra cut out frog and tiara sugar cookies, Randy brought good ole Pillsbury break and bake cookies - chocolate chip.

After dinner, the kids decorated their cookies and painted frogs. Zach said they were better than Goofy's Candy Company!

We ended the evening with all of us piling into the living room to watch the Princess and the Frog. Oh, and Randy popped popcorn while we watched.

We had a fantastic evening!!! Next Disney night theme????? Randy and Alisa enjoyed it so much, they decided to host us on Saturday for a an Italian feast from Lady and the Tramp!!!!

Congrats on the race, you did great. 100% humidity OMG my worst nightmare. :scared1::scared1:
Looks like a yummy and fun Disney night!

100% humidity? Yuck! It certainly makes for a difficult race! I'm envious of anyone who finishes something like that, though.

As for the Disney night--those kids look like they had so much fun decorating the cookies!
