Lucy, We are doing Palo for brunch on Monday at 11. May have to skip the martinis, not much of a martini drinker. Now if we are talking margaritas, thats another story. LOL.

actually, it doesn't matter WHAT night - I would prefer EVERY night!

Anyone book United for their flight - saw this morning they were having
some problems, and maybe striking....we're on Delta.

We are on Delta. I noticed slight schedule changes on the web last night. Have to watch that one!

FIrst day of summer vacation!!! I am taking all three kids to the doctor for their annual check ups. Little does DD6 know, but she needs a shot for 1st grade!!!! DS11 also needs one, so he can be the "strong big brother" and not cry!!! She'll be so ticked at me!!

We're also interested in places to visit for my mom. She would like to do a walking tour, the one through disney are all so long. Any ideas?

Yes, I wanted reports, now I'm really confused. (typical for me).
The beach in Puerto Vallarta sounds great....I think I want to do that,
but my husband thought maybe the Canopy Tour for him and the boys.
hmmmmmm decisions. And, Wendy, if the boys would go on the CanopyTour, i would gladly do a walking tour with your mom......
SOMEONE make a decision for me.
Now, today, it is another port and I'll be more confused.
As you can tell, everyone, it is the ship that is important to me.

Lynn: don't even go there with the weight thing - I'm a quitter, yes,
girls, a quitter, I just didn't stay with WW....I'm a failure. I did the
10 lb. loss, and it was over for me.....my goal was 40 lb. before this
cruise, I'm a failure....and then all I do is talk about Scoops with everyone!

Oh, and girls, my husband Bob wants to join you for the martini tasting, ok? (he'd rather have margaritas, though.) I'll hang out with the Scoops fans.

Lucy and Lynn Don't be too hard on yourself. Losing weight is very hard even at (don't throw things at me!!) OUR AGE! You have to take it slow and be patient. Don't be hard on yourself. You are not a failure, Lucy! Don't do that to yourself!

JoAnn I hope your last few days of school go well. I know that those can be quite challenging! I didn't think I'd get to the end, as I had my most challenging year of the 21 I have taught!

Bill??? I know JoAnn says you have been working hard with two jobs, but is that to enhance your supply of thong suits???

I have worked today on calling car/limo/shuttle companies. I am more confused than ever! I keep reading the boards for that magic information that gets me going in a direction, but somehow I cannot get a feel for what I want/need to do. It was so easy in Orlando/Cape Canaveral!!!! I am sure it is too in LA, but just so new and I don't know the "lay of the land", in fact I am CLUELESS!!!

Jenny - I am too confused about the transportation issue - put so many questions on the Disneyland boards about this...actually put one there
again this morning....I just wish someone would say, go ahead and book it!
(I won't use Disney transportation to ship!--can't get there early enough!).

thanks for encouragement on the weight, but since i've reached "that age" it has been an awful problem. Since the day I was married, and for 18 yrs.
afterward, I've been a size 12, not anymore!!! I'm so embarrassed - my
husband insists I buy a swimsuit for this trip - i tell him I'm allergic to
swimsuits....why doesn't he believe me?!!!!!

My 13 yr. old is done on June 8th, thank goodness - don't know if we
will all mentally 'make it till then'!!!!! Yesterday, when he got home from school he informed us he HAD a final, of which we didn't know about....
that's just the way it has been going the last month of school.

JoAnn - whenever you have the time (sounds like that will be never) - you name the time and place in Disneyland, and we'll be there (except on a Thursday, unless it is evening).

Lucy: I only lost 10lbs and my plan was more also. Don't be hard on yourself. I figure 10lbs is 10lbs less that what I could have gotten on the ship with. I may get off the ship with it again, but that's OK. Give yourself a break. It goes on much easier than it goes off, like Lynn said!

Lisa and/or Liz I need to find the nearest car rental agency to the Hyatt Orange Co. I called the Hyatt and asked, but you know how that works, they are partners with Hertz, so I couldn't exactly get a straight answer! My plan is to rent a car at LAX Monday through Sat. a.m. Then, I plan on leaving the car at the agency nearest the Hyatt and getting transportation to the port, then to LAX at the end. I don't want to spend Sat. a.m. driving myself to the port and potentially getting lost! I know that sounds "Goofy", but I want a stress free morning!

I need someone who knows the area well enough to suggest a company to call.

One more question....for you. There was an Enterprise Rent A Car right near the port...maybe they'd let you rent at LAX and return at San Pedro? They may not let you do that but it's worth a shot.
