Off to work...want to get it in shape by today, but that is pushing it! I have 5 yards of mulch coming Tues. I need to get the flower beds ready for that too! THe ironing still looms!

Lynn should be winding down if I remember correctly. I wonder if she is in like TOTAL PANIC yet?? I feel for you girl!!!

Debi How is school going for Bri?? That girl will need a vacation for sure! Did you say she is bringing a friend for the week. I can see it now, even as young as he is, John will be "in tune" to those two!! I know my kid well. Hey Lucy! I bet Bryan and Tyler will be impressed too!!

Kathy I envy you getting an ALONE trip to WDW! What a great treat! I have NEVER done that but sure wish I could (but only with my special friends around!!! )

hey all!

sorry its been so long since ive wrote. I was intending on writing a few days ago but i cannot even begin to describe the events that have been going on in my house. It's a long, long, long and detailed story that I will be happy to share when you all get down here. It involves alot of hurt feelings, alot of drunkiness from a roommate who got terminated and turned 21 and a car accident with her and our two really really good guy friends. I h ad to call out of work because of it...its just been a really bad two days and were not quite sure if its over or not...because it started two days ago and as of right now is still not over with ::slaps head:: i cant...

anywho...on happier news...I do read the boards everyday! But like mother like daughter, im bad at posting all the time (love you mommmyyyyyyyy!!! )

Im getting so excited to see you all down here! Some familiar faces would be lovely. My best friend and her boy friend and my other good friend on coming down August 7th which will be fun and my roommate from the first part of the internship just got here this morning, so this morning thus far has been alright. We'll see what happens.

Not really much else to report here. My heads been spinning the past few days! So me and roomie are heading down to the lazy river pool and going to drink us some virgin daquiris and float around the pool!

We just got back from Madonna! I've been wanting to see her for a long time, all I can say is.....................she's 47, I want to look like that when I'm 47!

Hi JoAnn, Your 'Third Wheel' is standing by...I did make my Segway reservation. Hopefully, I'll be better at it this time. I ran my Segway into a bush right out of the gate last October. I'm having kid trouble too. Owen pinched a boy in his class yesterday. Evidently, the boy was bothering a girl in class and Owen was trying to defend her. He lost computer and TV privileges yesterday and had to take a much needed nap yesterday afternoon. This was very out of character for him but that is no excuse.

Day 4 of the 'big drive' went well. I'm glad today is Friday and I'll get a break over the weekend. I guess I won't be having as quiet a weekend as I was looking forward to. My friend asked me if I could take her kids (Cole (5) and Jack (2)) Saturday morning through Sunday morning. She has to go out of town and her husband is working. I'll be sure to return the favor sooner than she thinks. Hopefully, she'll be available to take my kids Sunday evening 29 July through Monday afternoon when I return from WDW. That will save me $ on a babysitter.

Yesterday was Amy's actual birthday so we went to Red Robin for dinner. "Red" is there on Tue/Thu evening. She used to be afraid of him (and all of the characters at WDW and on DCL). She loves them all now though.

I'm dying to see "Me and Dupree". I love Owen Wilson.

Good to hear from you Allie! I'm sorry to hear about all of the drama. I hope things settle down soon.

Poor Allie, there is drama wherever you go, just when you thought there was no drama down there.

JoAnn - So I guess that means the girls are not coming. Oh, feel free to borrow mine, ANY TIME.

Jernny - Yes, Briana is bringing her best friend, Kourtney (who is a very pretty girl, I might add). We are such bad and awful parents you know, giving her a Sweet 16 party, and letting her bring a friend on vacation. Go figure.

Congratulations Lucy on your 1,000th post. It will take me a longggg time to get even close to that!

Still no a/c at the store, I am hoping it gets fixed today or I may have to cancel the All Night Crop I have scheduled for tomorrow night. It has been way too hot in the store this week, and we are going into a heat wave this weekend. Supposed to be in the 90s and maybe 100 by Monday and Tuesday. I lost a few customers Wed night because of the heat and if the a/c isn't fixed by today, I may have to close on Monday if it's that hot. There is no way I can stay in there all day, yesterday I was starting to get nauseous.

Bri started school on Wednesday. She has been taking the bus (I do feel kind of bad - she leaves at 7 am - but I am sticking to my guns right now). She has had a lot of notes, and she actually carries books back and forth to school. Wow, is that a miracle. Very strict, if you're missing something, they take 2 points off your average (and she certainly cannot afford that ) so she will be prepared. She has her first Math quiz today, I hope she does well.

Only 13 more days, I am really looking forward to this (even though short) vacation.

We are ALL terrible parents, Debi, isn't that true, girls?
My kids have been to Disney HOW many times, on cruises, have a home to live in (not always full of food! ), usually get whatever they
want...but we are the WORST parents!

There is always drama with kids that age - I hope everything is going ok
for Alex...she doesn't deserve this.

Debi - how in the WORLD can you do anything without air conditioning - it is going to get VERY, VERY bad in the next few days - take care of yourself.
I hope Bri's school is air conditioned - i would hate to think of those kids sitting in that heat.

Speaking of heat - i think Jenny may be headed to Cincy this weekend - NOPE, I wouldn't wanna sit at a game in this heat...I'll stay in my house, thank you very much. ALTHOUGH, on Saturday, I must go to an outdoor wedding and reception - yuck!

Hey all, Lucy, Kathy is MINE, in the "adult" group!!!

Debi, I really feel for you, I always am complaining about the lack of AC at my school, I remember you saying about the heat problems in the winter.....maybe a new location for you would be a blessing!! I can't wait either..............hopefully our trip will help Bri get thru things!

My girls are making their presence known, this summer.............I think that's why I became a teacher so I could handle them as they grew up (you know, get my mind off them!)

Where is Jenny, Lynn & Bill??????? Yes, I have seen "HIM", he is very shy as everyone knows!

As I mentioned, I'm going to try to get the "rents" up to NYC in October (I think they'll show for that one!)

Today was the BEST weather day so far this summer....................so when are WE coming to the beach this summer?????? Something else for us to discuss during our reunion!!!

Yes, air won't be fixed until Monday, so I had to cancel my crop tomorrow night, I rescheduled for next w/e, hopefully everyone who was coming will still make it. I may even take the day off Monday, it is supposed to be close to 100 and with no air, I am not sure if I will make it...

Thank God Bri has air in the part of the school she is in. They are in the modulars (which are like add on buildings) and they have air. She actually has to bring a sweatshirt with, and still complains it is too cold. Wish I had that problem. Anyway, she is taking this pretty seriously. I did a good mom thing this morning, scored some Brownie points with the tough one. As she was walking out the door for the bus, she complains that she really needs something to eat in the morning (now we are not big breakfast eaters, except for Micco). So a few minutes after she leaves, I try to catch her, but the bus is already gone. I try calling on her cell (which I find out later she doesn't have with her, a lot of good a cell is) to tell her I will come pick her up and get her something to eat, to try to get her off the next stop. Well since I can't get her on her cell, I go to the deli, pick her up a bagel and drink, and go to school and wait for her. She comes walking down the block, headphones on, never sees me, I am screaming to her across the street from the car (these girls walking by must think I'm a stalker or something) and finally have to get out of the car and almost tackle her. She was oblivious. Made her come in the car and eat, and she had plenty of time to still get to school. She was quite thankful, needless to say. And, she had 2 quizzes today, got an 85 on her Global and thinks she got a 100 on her Math (will find out Monday). She says "Mom do you think it was cause I ate breakfast?" Maybe Briana, just maybe we should start getting into that habit...

Briana went with her cousins out to Six Flags Great Adventure tonight, and she is sleeping over in NJ. Waiting for Micco to get home and I think we are going out for a bite to eat. Still have to get him to take me to see Pirates before we go away!

I brought the kids over early yesterday morning to hang out at the water park at King's Island. It was so nice! After that, we ran some errands, then checked into the hotel. Mark had a luncheon to attend at work, so after that he and a colleague (& her DH) drove over here to join the kids and I.

We all attended the game last night together. It isn't that bad heat wise and our seats are under cover so we don't get that hot sun. The beer was definitely cold....a plus! I went to the room to get the kids settled at 10 p.m. with intentions of joining Mark in the lounge afterwards, but woke up to the sound of knocking on our room door at 12:45 a.m. The kids and I had ALL fallen asleep and Mark sat down there alone (which is not unusual and he doesn't really mind). Anyway, now I am wide awake at 6:30 a.m. not able to sleep!

I am so excited for next weekend! Just 8 days for us and we go to WDW!! John is even talking about how fun it will be!

Debi Warn Bri and Kourtney....John's eyes lit up like 4th of July fireworks when I mentioned that a couple of 15 year old girls would be there. He's already asking about them. I told him I didn't know Kourtney, but Bri is VERY CUTE. I figure John (and maybe even Tyler) will be drooling!!!! I hope John doesn't doesn't drive them nuts and teach Tyler any bad habits!!!

JoAnn My classroom is o.k. I really need to do a little more time in there, but I don't know when! I have still so much to do before next Friday when we leave to come back here!

Of course I have 5 yards of mulch on order for Tuesday and it's suppose to get 100-105 degree heat index! It may take me a couple of days to do that (John WILL BE helping, like it or not). Marshall may be hard to recruit. He was helping me with the weeding Thursday and hit a nest of bees (?). He got attacked! THey got under his shorts and stung him twice in the leg. It was so sad. He was upset and really frustrated. Anyway, he's better now.

Joann - yes, Bri and Kourt are both 16. Jenny - I was mentioning what you said to Bri and she said too bad John's not a little older, he is really cute! Not for nothing, it's a good thing he's not older, then I would have to worry about her!!!

I just returned from an unbelieveably HOT, HUMID, SWEATY outdoor wedding - I actually left early, using Tyler at home as an excuse (he could have cared less!). MAN, was it HOT - everyone was sweating. It was a VERY artsy-fartsy wedding. Was NOT my kind of wedding - thank goodness i had an excuse to leave. Oh, you'll love this one - I called Tyler during the social hour and told him to call me to come home...HE FORGOT!

I just finished cleaning up after making dinner for 9 kids and 4 moms. Ted made it home just in time to man the grill and quickly eat with us before he had to go back to the hospital for an emergency. He's still not home. We were supposed to eat outside but it poured. In fact, Ted got soaked while grilling. He's such a trooper! I just got the kids to bed. I didn't end up having to watch my friend's kids as her plans changed. I'm exhausted but I'm going to try to wait up for Ted.

It's really hot and humid here too. We've had evening thunderstorms yesterday and today but it doesn't seem to cool off much.

Today's Micco's sister's birthday, so we're going to Micco's brother's house to celebrate with family this afternoon. Not much else going on here!

We had a nice time at our wedding last night! It was a mixed faith wedding and there evidently had been some trouble with some of the guests not coming! How sad is that? The couple was so happy, crying, laughing during the entire service and reception. It was sweet. Everyone liked my dress and SOME OF MY WORK FRIENDS DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME! (I got my hair straightened!) Anyway, fun night for all!

Lucy, I went to a wedding like yours a couple years ago. My position is, if I am at a farm in the summer at a wedding, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO WEAR JEANS! (There's nothing worse than being dressed up and sweating, yuck!)

YES, we plan to go to the parade at MGM on Saturday, how exciting! Let us know if we need to be anywhere else as well!

The weather has been really humid around here as well, but very breezy down at the shore. I'm hoping we get some of the heat down there this week. I've been there more than usual this summer!
