so much to tell ALL of you.
First, and foremost, thank you New York Giants for beating the Cowboys, and T.O.....the 'poor boy' was crying on TV this morning......

Because of ALL of you, I have now visited Staten Island (Deb), King of Prussia (JoAnnster) and NOW, Chicago....Yep, gang, Chicago....
Bob and I flew out to Chicago this weekend to surprise Jenny......
I'll let Jenny tell you about this surprise!

By going to Chicago, I saw BARRY MANILOW! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: HE WAS FANTASTIC....also had to see Wicked again, I slept thru it again. Saw Wrigley's Field, but, the thing I must say - JoAnn (and Deb) - your girls would LOVE Chicago and Michigan Avenue - every store you can imagine - the cleanest city I've ever been in, safest too.....we loved this City!!!!!! Only disappointment I had was Barry was not staying in our hotel!

Unfortunately, we had an 'incident' with Tyler at home (TOO long a story) and he kindof ruined the 'spirit' of getting away for the weekend....let's just say, and this is all I need to say, we will NEVER go away without him.
And, for that reason, you will now see the little icon of the Panama Canal is now gone......more later on any trips by the Williams' Family, which does include Tyler in all weekends away!

weeeeeeeell let me say this.....:rotfl: the reason you had the children was probably because you and Bob was messing around:confused3 .I suppose there could have been other parties involved..... but that's not for me to say...:rolleyes1 as long as everyone was happy with the results:laughing:
Having had raised three strapping ,beer drinking, girl chasing, hell raising SON's
you not gonna tell me anything I haven't seen ,heard, or was told about....::woohoo: Children are a pain in the tes&*^&*.....Let me say this, they sure as hell educated me,:scared1: they pulled stuff I never knew existed:rolleyes1 Let me offer my condolances to you and Bob till you get them the hell outta the house....:headache: One thing I learned from their growing up,was I don't trust any statement made, any excuse given..:confused3 I learned to be in their face all the time,we vacationed
as a unit,no matter how unhappy differant ones were:cheer2: or we didn't go... As a closing statement in this matter....:dance3: The house was run like a dictator ship..:yay: when someone told me I could go to jail,I say fine, you raise them....Your hitting on a subject, that really perplexes me,My son's are raising their offspring in such a manner ,I can't understand, they tolerate backtalk,mis-behavior,etc...:rolleyes1 Probably because we were so firm,etc.... But they got in trouble anyhow....:woohoo: If I had to do it again,I would do it the same way:confused3 The country is going to hell because of this casual, liberal attitude...SOOOOOO have a nice day..

THANK YOU!!!!!

I am still trying to raise my children this way, Bill, as difficult in today's society as it is. As a teacher they are asking me to compromise my beliefs as well....maybe that's why my boss and I DON'T get along; I refuse to! I don't do "Mamby Pamby" discipline either. A spade is a spade..........:rolleyes1

All I can say is that the guy at the front desk was TRAUMATIZED!:lmao: Mark sent me to the 2nd floor to check us in the Hyatt and the kids stayed downstairs to look at the fountains. I am standing there ready to check in when I hear someone singing "Happy Birthday" and look over to see Lucy and Bob!!!:scared1: I HAD NO IDEA...I screamed, literally! The poor guy at the desk just stood there in shock! When we went downstairs to get the kids they got so excited to see Bob and Lucy. I said, "I was so shocked, I screamed"! All three of the kids said "That was you??" Marshall said, "I thought someone was getting murdered up there"!!!:rotfl: I must have really screamed loud!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was a fun weekend....the Lawall and Bolusi girls would have the time of their life on Michigan Avenue! It's a little more "affordable" too. Next trip we need to see the "Serious Tower" (that's what John called the Sears Tower when he was little:lmao: ). I refuse to make Bob go into another American Girl store though.....the poor guy has been to two of the three (Chicago and NYC) with Mallory!:lmao:

I loved Wicked (again) and Barry Manilow is an awesome show. Believe it or not, we have seeen him three times in a year and not once the same exact show!

I think Bob wants his own "Tom-Tom" now (GPS system)! Lucy thought he might want one to help him get to work?? :confused3 Mine got us out to the airport though after (brace yourself) Lucy put the final touch on it! I don't use it enough because I usually know where I am going, but for someone like Lucy who is an electronically challenged, she sure did help me out there! Scary, isn't it??? Curious why it has a female voice???

So, who's in for the next trip?? Bill and Alice, you too!!!!!!

I feel asleep during Wicked too...:rotfl: ......too funny!

A little late, but Happy New Year to all! Our holidays were relatively quiet. I had Christmas Eve here. Christmas Day, Micco and I were home alone, and New Year's Eve, we went to visit his parents (it's his father's B-day) and then we came home and spent the evening by ourselves (for the 1st time). Briana was at her friend's for the evening and Alex and her BF were downstairs with my niece and nephew -they came up for midnight and we hung out for a little bit, then went to bed - very exciting evening I must say. :rotfl:

It's great to hear about all of your trips. Lucy and Bob So nice that you surprised Jenny and Mark - We have always wanted to go to Chicago...some day. JoAnn I can't believe you were in the city, MIcco and I were off all week and could have met you guys for dinner or lunch or something...oh well, maybe next time.

I am going to see Wicked in 2 weeks - one of my customers has an extra ticket because her husband doens't want to go, so she offered it to me. I am looking forward to it.

And Lynn and Keith, we are definitely cruising with you guys this summer - it was up in the air for awhile, but Micco made a decision last week that we are definitely going - we booked the airfare yesterday and are staying at the GC from Thursday to Saturday before the cruise. Now I just have to get a job to help out a little, and hope that the shows I do this year will put me over the edge.

Anyway, I promise to be better about posting this year. I even have a blog now - BTW, I kind of missed the info about Tara's blog - what is the site JoAnn?

Have a good day all!

Debi

Oh yes, and I am so glad the GIANTS beat the COWBOYS. I hate the Cowboys - they are my least favorite team in the NFL - TO crying - Wah! GO BIG BLUE!

Welcome back, Debster! Tara's blog is "most likely a rant".....she is hysterical! Glad to hear you're still sailing with Lynn & Keith! BTW, WHERE IS LYNN AND KEITH???.................:confused3

WB Debi! How exciting that you guys are taking the Canal trip! That sounds like a blast! Chicago is do-able for me anytime. It's just a short four hour drive! ;)

Where's Lucy??? Listening to some Manilow??? :rolleyes1

Have you recovered yet JoAnn??:dance3:

Thanks for asking! I'm fine, since it's mostly my "feet" problem that set me back. I'm going to go back to exercising tomorrow!:cool1: Just 7 more days....................:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I believe Lucy is enjoying some "family" time.:confused3  :scared1: :headache: :cool2:  :grouphug:

Writing a VERY LONG thread to all of you this morning - then losing it!:furious: :furious:

It was quite interesting and funny too!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

JoAnn: ME? Family time, well, maybe not ME, but Tyler will be spending alot of family time with us on ALL weekend trips:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
Also, JoAnnster, for pete sakes - have some surgery on those feet - I did and they are better - it is just the REST of my body parts that now need surgery!:sad1: :sad1:

Jenny: Listening to Manilow - yep, yesterday, all day and crying my eyes out! My favorite song to sing along to yesterday was "I Made It Thru The Rain" - well, I didn't yet, I'm still in the "rain", but the 'storm' is over.....:sad1: :sad1:

THANK YOU Bill for all your excellent:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 advice! I'll ask JoAnn about raising kids and how well you and Alice raised her!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Debi - welcome back - stay with us girl! :cheer2: :grouphug: You too Lynn:woohoo:

Sounds like Bill raised those children all by himself........... There were a few things he forgot to mention: 6 week schools across the country for the government; river runs when they took the Navy's ships out to sea for a week or better; etc. etc. etc. Bill was mostly describing the things our son's did in their teenage years and most of the time, we did not have the time or money to go away and leave them alone. We would probably not have any house when we got home. I, frankly, hear more stories about what they were doing now than when they were actually doing them. Raising children, as you all know, is difficult, but with a lot of prayer, dicipline, love and attention they turn out pretty great. I felt it was all worth it and am thankful that Bill & I can enjoy seeing our children and grandchildren, travelling with them and just plain watching them experience what we did when they were growing up. You all seem to have a handle on what's going on with your families so keep up the good work.... Love Alice

Bill is in trouble!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I LOVE IT!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:  :woohoo:

Alice - you brought tears to my eyes - thanks for the confidence......
this IS the hardest thing we've EVER done in our lives....raising children - child birth was a BREEZE!:scared1: :scared1:
I just don't understand why EVERYONE else has perfect children and we don't!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
