Hi guys...just checking in. Not much going on around here. Had to have a tooth pulled yesterday, yes for years of not taking care of my teeth, now I will have to pay the price...hopefully I won't lose too many, I know another one is going to have to go, perhaps with surgery...not looking forward to that, but it is my front tooth, and when it gets replaced I think it will make my mouth look a whole lot better, since I look like Bucky Beaver now...

I've cut back my store hours, so I am only working till 4 every day. I am going to ask the girls about KOP on the 26th, is that still a plan??? Maybe we can join you.

I am glad we didn't get the tickets for MP with you guys, it turns out my niece's engagement party is the 14th of July. So I don't know what everyone's plans are for that w/e, but maybe we can meet you in the city Friday night if you are coming in then. Just let me know.

We will be around for the 4th of July, and are planning a backyard BBQ. If any of you locals would like to join us, we would love to have you.

Today is Briana's last full day of school, she has a half day on Monday, then finishes up with finals and regents for the next week and a half. It was the last full day I will be driving her to school. She takes her road test in 4 weeks, July 6th, I hope she passes. I can't believe she is going to be a senior! Just found out that her Chem teacher now will be teaching Chem this summer. Great. How is she going to pass in the summer, when she can't pass now, even with a tutor, this guy can't teach...I am very frustrated.

Anyway, the weather is supposed to be great here this weekend, I have to finish planting my impatiens, and I plan on enjoying the day in my backyard on Sunday. Maybe I can get Captain Nemo to take me to see Pirates...I haven't seen it yet.

So sorry about all the dental stuff. It's good you don't have fears like Lucy! John will be getting braces soon and has to have four teeth pulled himself.

We are leaving here in a few to go to Cincinnati, so until Sunday night or MOnday morning hope all enjoy their weekends!

I think the KOP trip on 6/26 is a go........I know Muhaha & Jess are in!!! Ken is working on getting off and I still haven't discussed it with the Rents!

We are not getting to NYC until Sat. night in July....when is Lucieeee getting there??

My last day is next Friday.......after today, I can't wait! We had very high temps w/humidity......it was awful.......we did our "State Fair" performance with parents, grandparents, etc. Very tough day!!

Oh yea, Jenniee is driving 14 hours to meet us at KOP!!!

sorry, I am TRYING to work here....trying is the word....the countdown is getting really scary Today, in fact, I'm leaving early, Tyler has a visit with the orthodontist - and I am taking the whole day (gotta use up 6 hours of sick leave)

Let's see - we are coming to the City early Saturday, I believe we will TRY to catch the 7:00 bus and arrive around 9:30 - Jenny, what are 'our' plans for Saturday afternoon? touring? What we thought could happen is - since we have a hotel room right on Broadway, IF you want to bring 'refresher' clothing along into the city and leave it in our room for the night show - we could go back to the room and 'chill'....JoAnnster, will we meet up for dinner?
Found a new place, sortof like "Champs" if we want to take the kids there...or to Bubba Gump's - before the show....DEBS: we won't see you, will we - WE ARE SAD
Sunday, do we want to try and get half price tickets for a Sunday show?

KOP is ON: Bob works that day, so we should get down there around 5:30?

I am not sure of our hotel in perspective to Broadway, but that is an option. John and Mark will being going to Flushing Meadow for the game, but it isn't until 7:30. They like to "arrive early" but we won't know until Thursday how long we will need to allow for the train out there. Mark and I loved Bubba Gumps in New Orleans. Let's play it by ear and see. WE can always find trouble.

I thought of you guys the other day. We were at the Taste of Cincinnati and who walks in???? THE NAKED COWBOY!!! I was told he got his start in Cincinnati. I recognized those buns!!! I plan on getting my picture with in THIS TRIP TO NYC!! Anyone want to join me??

Ok guys.......so many questions, so little time.....but first, HOW AM I? Ask me about the weather.......HIGH HUMIDITY, HIGH TEMPS, 23 CHILDREN, 80 CRANKY STAFF MEMBERS......I'm doing GREAT!!

My last full kid day is tomorrow......we'll end with a party tomorrow (I have my students perform a play in the PM too!) Half day Thursday, then clean up and meetings on Friday.....I can make it............

KOP, what time is jenni & debiiii coming......... ...............so let's meet for dinner at Cheesecake Factory at 5:30pm and then we'll go from there?

Nyc, I have a room from Sat to Mon so...........we'll be up Saturday, not sure what time..........so we should try to meet for dinner? Bob has the tix, right (I can't remember but I think I paid for them!)

Sunday, would be great for half price tix............I'm not sure about the girls due to their schedules but maybe they could still do Rent with Tyler?

Let's see....job....note to self....Work harder on finding work! I am so busy with the kids I haven't been aggressive enough. I do have summer school scheduled to teach July 23-Aug. 3, so that helps.

As for NYC, the only thing I have "planned" is baseball Thursday night, MP on Sat., and Yankee Stadium tour and game on Monday. THe rest is as it occurs. The kids have some requests, but I have just kind of taken the "let it happen" attitude. I am currently reading a book about NYC with kids which really helps me with ideas.

I am heading to Cincy today through Sunday, so I am not sure if I will be online. I will check in if I take the computer. This is a well needed break for my husband who has had a horrific week last week at work. Maybe he can settle down and relax a little??

Thx for the support, Jensi, today was very good even though, my fellow staff members are a little off the deep end but my class was so sweeeet, I can't believe tomorrow is our last day together! A couple of my boys didn't want to leave with their parents so they waited around in my room until their bus was called (I got a little teary-eyed at that!)

NYC with kids your age.......you can do Central Park zoo, etc, shopping at FAO & Toys R Us.........visiting Liberty Island, Empire State Building? Bus tour? Museum visits?? MTV store?

I celebrated Father's day with my favorite daughter (JoAnn)... I was fishing with my Favorite Son-in-law( Ken)... and also had a grandaughter join us...Tracy... or Traci.... But it was a hot day.... great weather for the beach..... Ken and JoAnn cooked off their grill,and we all pigged out....!!!

yes, at the ballpark, of course!! We took Mark to the stadium club for a nice brunch. Gave him a new Reds golf shirt, book, etc. He loves his Reds! Yes, they lost though. The Reds are in California now and will be in Philly next Tuesday.

Mark's mother is in the hospital again with a blood infection. Somehow we need to get up there to see her. We haven't been since Christmas. It's such a hard trip; we just hate the drive. But, we need to do it. This weekend we are suppose to attend a 50th birthday party, but we'll see.

So this is Lucy's last week of work ......oh how I envy you! Good luck this week!

And, JoAnn is finished!

Now we need to get Lynn through these next few weeks!

Hello Everyone
I've been in the New Forest with the children I was the cook this year do your principals end up filling in where ever they are needed or do they get other people to do it for them??? The kids were great I had to get the train to London on Thursday from there to speak at a National conference very nerve racking
At the weekend our best man from 16years ago was over from the US so we met him and his wife in Devon, we had fun.

Yesterday was a bad day a child of 10 spat at me in the face I mean really spat big mouth of gob UGH!!!! I couldn't wait to get home and shower I felt so dirty all day He is a very disturbed child but even so!!!!
I have been hit kicked and bitten before but never spat at it really got to me.

My aunt is on her last few days according to the sister at the hospital so I have a 4 hour drive to visit her on thursday( my brother and I are her only living relations)
My Uncle with lung cancer has been readmitted to hospital and my mum is really worried about him and to top it all my school inspection which was due over a year ago still hasn't happened and could occur at any time ...................5 weeks to go can't go fast enough for me this year!!!

Sorry for venting, we're ok really just a little stressed
