unfortunately my recent unplanned expenses have forced me to go to work on July 23rd through Aug 3rd. So, while you cruise the Med., I will be teaching summer school! I wish we were more "worldy" travelers or we'd be there!

Trying to catch up this morning, haven't been on here in a while, even to read.

TracyAlex is taking a summer bio class too. 4 days a week from 8:30 to 11:30, she hates getting up. But she had to catch up since she was down in Disney last year.

We have changed our plans from Disney this year, and are now going to Cancun August 25th to Sept 1st. Things got messed up with Alex and she is no longer a CM (long story), so we decided we didn't really want to pump any money into Disney this year, we did enough of that last year. This is the first time we have done a trade with DVC, so I will let you know how it is. The hotel looks really nice, and it is right on the water. We have never been to Cancun, only to Cozumel (which we love) 5 times, so I hope we don't miss Cozumel too much while we are there.

I have not been reading the Med cruise boards, I refuse to do so. For me, it is too depressing, knowing I should have been on that ship this summer, but will not be. As far as Kathy is concerned, why do you guys still talk about her...I mean she has removed all of us from her life, I am sure she doesn't care what we are doing...why do I have to care...I know this sounds very cold, but at this point, this is how I have to feel. I made an attempt on her birthday in January to call her, left a message, and she never called me back. I was very hurt for quite some time, but now feel if I remove myself from the situation, it won't bother me as much. It is a shame, because I really like Kathy, Ted and the kids. I am sorry for what happened, and that she chose to dis ALL OF US like a child over something stupid (that I wasn't even a part of) instead of talking it out like an adult....there I have said my peace.

On a lighter note, the night before last the Elton John concert from MSG on his birthday was on, (my sister-in-law called me and told me, I didn't know it was on). So I put it on around 9:20, and tivoed (sp?) it. I don't know if anyone has seen it yet, but at the end of the show, they are interviewing Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne, then Bernie Taupin, then it goes into him singing Your Song. Right at the beginning of your song, they cut to MY BIRTHDAY CARD, and you can see ME!!!!!! I was so excited.... I am forever immortalized in an Elton John concert video, how cool is that?????? This is the second time it was on, I am sure they will play it again, so if it's on again, you have to check it out. You can't miss my Happy 60th Birthday Elton card.

We had some people over Sunday for Briana's birthday, what a gorgeous w/e here in NYC. I can't remember a Memorial Day w/e like this in a long time...now we are in for some hot weather....

Jenny Congratulations on finishing another year, enjoy your time off, you deserve it....have a margarita for me girlfriend.... I think I am going to cut back to summer hours starting next week, this is my slow time of year, it has been dead so far this week.

Wow, Debster.......what a post!!!!!!! Have a wonderful time in Cancun, you will love it!! We've been there twice and both times had a blast!!

Congrats on the EJ video....how cool is that!

In regards to the Kathy deal, I agree with you, she was so friendly and helpful and then for some reason stopped chatting with us.....really weird! All I can say is that she was holding a cane in her pic, so maybe there was some kind of health scare...........

BTW, there are many NY scrapbookers on this trip........I could remind them of your shop if you want??????

I have two weeks today, I hope the humidity and heat takes a break soon!!!

Personally, Jennster, as much as I would LOVE to have that many sea days, doing the transatlantic, their weather sounded awful, i don't really wanna do it. (BUT, I'm doing the Panama Canal). ENJOY YOUR SUMMER, GIRL.....16 more work days for me! I have my 'exit meeting' today at 10:30

For me, the Med is a dream come true.....my first dream was to get to Hawaii and we did that for our 20th Anniversary........now this for me is amazing!! My rents went to Italy a few times but for me this will be my first crossover the "pond!" That's mainly why were going and of course because of my motto, "Carpe Diem!" We only live once!!!

I read them daily, but I wish people would write more about the ship - that is the important thing to me ......ports? Bob cares....not me! I'll read every thread till this ship gets back "home".......I miss 'her' in the States!

SO, Joannster, will YOU 'blog' when you are there...IF so, I'll take our computer along to Disney....IF not, I won't - let me know...we'll need to set a date to get together after you get home, ok? Tyler's last full day today, then next week 3 half days for finals....today I meet my State retirement guy to plan out the rest of my benefits and pension....15 more working (well, there MUST be another word for that!) days

Tyler is getting excited about NYC weekend (as if I am NOT!).....he is wondering if your girls saw Rent...I know we can get that at half price....I'll go see something else (shopping is too dangerous for me on THOSE streets, guess I'll need long pants to wear the knee pads, huh?)...or sightsee with the Fishers.

SO, we MAY see somebody in Disney at Christmas - I AM PSYCHED!

I'm telling you, everyone, Bob MAY go on the Med - I'm staying home.....
he needs a roommate, though BUT, when I told him Tyler and I will go to WDW during the time he is in Med.....he didn't like that either! Want you guys to know though, I WANT him to do these trips - i'm not keen on doing them, why shouldn't he? He will turn a magical number this year, you know (I don't call it very magical, right Kenny?)
Our kids, yes both of them, REALLY wanna go back on a Disney cruise...that is all they talk about - guess we are feeling a LITTLE guilty for the 15 day cruise next year (NO, we are NOT cancelling) - maybe next summer we can do something for them (although, Tyler just informed us his German class has their trip to Germany next summer too! --I want Bob and Tyler to go on that too!) SO MANY PLACES, so little money! (and vacation time for Bob)

YES, Lynn, we will be at WDW from Dec. 24-leaving Dec. 31......BUT, we WANT company - it is BORING, just the 4 of us!

Ms. Joannster: we NEED to find a weekend for the beach too! Our summer seems to be closing in on us already. The first week in July Tyler and I are working at the Kutztown Folk Festival, then comes our weekend in NY , then a free weekend, then the Med Cruise and the Williams WDW trip, now we are in August, and poor Jennster is BACK in school already. My, my, where did the summer go?
