Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

Disdaddy - There are a few choice words I would like to say to that mother (like how she can even call herself a mother) but I won't mention them here, this is the Disney board...Besides I have never even met her. But do you think by now she would have called my house to apologize for her daughter's mistake and maybe try to rectify the situation? NOT!

JoAnn - Good luck with the beginning of school, I am sure you will quickly get into the routine. Yes, her friend was ok, thank God, otherwise we'd have a whole lot of other problems on our hand.

Forgot to wish Happy Birthday to Bob, so HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BOB! Lucy - I agree with JoAnn, maybe you should talk with the Dean/Guidance Counselor to see why and what they can do for Tyler. Place him where he should be.

Now I am on my way to pick up Alex in NJ to take her for her interview at Cheesecake Factory at 10:00 (also in NJ). Lucky me. Got to run. They say the sun is going to come out later today, I really hope so, I could use a little sun in my life. The sun hasn't shone since the accident.

Debi

IF Allie works at the Cheesecake Factory, can we go there when we visit - great restaurant - and affordable. :cool1:

Thanks, guys, for the advice, BUT, another problem, the counselor is new, doesn't know a thing, she is the wife of our school board president (are you reading between the lines here). Bob and I have BOTH (individually) gone to her BEFORE school started and she didn't know what to do. Another issue we have with our school. Why assign a new counselor the grades of 9th (freshmen) and 11th (applying to colleges) and the experienced counselor 10th and 12th grades. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
He is still not eating anything all day long - today I threw a peanut butter sandwich in his backpack....because he has activities after school....just let this week be over, please.

DEBS: are you at the angry stage yet with that mother - I would be. :furious: :furious: :furious:

Villanova - i better start saving all those dollars i could have earned yesterday, and earning today, for JoAnn and Ken! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Lucy, please meet with the counselor and INSIST that they address your concerns, schedule a meeting WITH Tyler. This is your right as a taxpaying citizen!!!! :Pinkbounc

I LOVE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!

with Tyler's schedule - he is a HAPPY boy (for now!). He is excited about German (no kid of mine was EVER excited about a class)...although he heard great things about the German teacher, I heard the opposite, but I'll let him make his own judgements! He will now be eating lunch with friends in his own grade...he is REALLY excited about that one. AND, tomorrow the 9th graders get their laptops - students in our district from 9-12 get their own laptops to take home, take to school everyday, etc. etc. etc. :cool1: :cheer2: He was brave enough to ask the Asst. Principal today if she had a new schedule for him (it is ALWAYS wise in our
school to be friends with the Asst. Principal!)...and she sent him on his way to get the schedule. Thanks for caring so much, my friends. :grouphug: :dance3: :bounce:

Tyler is at musical practice till 9:00 and I will need to pick him up - Bob works tonight - YEP, 9:00 - the latest I've stayed awake for the last three nights...work has been so demanding, dumb professors, don't come back to school to prepare for their classes (not like my teacher friends) until the first day of classes, and then the kids have so many questions - I DO feel sorry for freshmen - they are so lost...I really take care of them.

How is Alex doing? and her friend? :confused3

Lynn must be really busy right now. :confused3

Is Kathy back from WDW? :confused3

Jenny - hanging in there with the princess? :confused3

Hey Lucy, great news!!!!! :thumbsup2

Anybody watching BB right now??? The Philliesare up in the 9th and they are about to overtake the Redsin the wildcard race!!!!!

School was insane today, I agree Lucy, the teachers are nuts! I can't wait to meet my class tomorrow!!!

I spoke to the "rents" today, they are bummed about the rain forecast..... :smooth: Perhaps, they'll swing up our way for some Labor Day fun! :moped:

I guess Kathy moved to Coronado already, I guess Lynn is on some trip somewhere...............................

The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow, Deb.............. :sunny:

Sheesh, I'm working too, Jenny! I met my students today and I loved them!!I hope I continue to feel that way throughout the year~! :smooth: It's scary how psyched I am for this school year!!!!! :smokin:

Hope everyone is well..........I'm off until Tuesday due to Labor Day holiday!!

Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain all weekend due to Ernesto! Ok, I'll admit it, ................. I'm babbling.....................anyone home????? :grouphug: :sad2:  :wave2:  :guilty: :thumbsup2 :cool1:  :rotfl2: :lmao:

Still having busy days at work, so tired at night.
Tomorrow Tyler has off (and Bob) and I thought I'd be able to sleep-in a little bit before work, but NOT, mother has to be at the hospital for a 5 hr. test by 7 AM...the hospital is about 30 minutes away, rush her there, come back to work, etc. etc. etc. Bob is a GODsend though, he will help me with the pickup and another doctor appt. next week. She must have these heart stress tests before we can decide whether she should have the surgery or not....a long story.

YES, Hurricane Ernesto.....lots of rain...not looking forward to it. One week ago the prediction was an absolutely beautiful Labor Day weekend, how quickly it changed. :furious:

YES, JoAnnie, the wildcard thingy....I'm watching it myself  :cool1:

Tyler is sitting in the living room right now playing with "his" (well, the school's) laptop...he's a happy boy :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :yay:

I just can't believe you haven't yet started school :teacher: :teacher: , Jenny has at least two weeks on us, we have 4 days on you :bounce:

Nighty-night :wave2:

Good morning everyone :wave2:

Just watching the news and waiting to hear reports from Cabo San Lucas:
MAN, was that ever a beautiful stop last year...my favorite, in fact. :sad1:

AND, the rain is coming our way late this afternoon...i don't mind the rain, if it stays out of my basement, and cancels the picnic we are supposed to go to tomorrow, I wanna stay home! :Pinkbounc :cool1:

What is everyone else doing? Darn Phillies lost one, didn't they? :furious:

Well, LuCy, I guess it's just us.............remember when we had friends???? :smooth: How did you do with your mom today?

My first day with students is Tuesday! By the time the rain hits, I guess we'll be glad to go! :sunny:

We have tix to the Black Eyed Peas tonight in AC.....anyone see the MTV VMAs?? All the girls and Ken will attend this one. Then Jess has a tournament in Philadelphia tomorrow, but the weather doesn't look good!

Phils lost, :guilty: , JenNy, how are you doing?????? :confused3

Kath?

Deb?

Lynn?

Dad, Mom?

I'm here sorry I thought life would be easier on vacation duh!!! A sick aunt, a sicknessbug and a cracked tooth and 2 flooded classrooms put paid to most of my plans.
Back to school on Monday,Children on Wednesday .

Now I have a request, I am a Creative Memories consultant here in the UK but we don't get some of the stuff you get in the US I'd love to order some of it if any of you know a consultant and could put in an order for me to collect from you in New York I'd be very happy, I think what I want comes to approx $100 I promise I'm good for it as soon as we arrive :thumbsup2
Can anyone help?? Don't worry Debi I still have a budget to spend in your store too if you can find some time to let me look.I thought i'd mention it now so I could e mail the order and it would come in time.

Lynn - I may be able to help you out with that one. I will check around with some of my customers, and get back to you if I find someone. Then you can just PM me what you want, I will lay it out for you and you can pay me when you come. I will get you to my store no matter what time of the day it is, you can always shop! I will be in the new store then.

Lucy - I am so glad that things worked out for Tyler and that he is now a happy boy. Happy children make for good students!

I am moving this week, finally. I just got the word yesterday afternoon, so today I have been busy starting to pack it up! I don't get to see the new place till Sunday, so I am still going in there blind.

JoAnn and Lucy - Better batten down those hatches. I hear you guys are supposed to get a little more from Ernesto than us. I wonder how Kathy is faring down in VA, I think she is due back today if I'm not mistaken.

We haven't heard anything from the family of the girl who totalled Alex's car, it does not look good. Something does not feel right about the whole situation. We may have to take this to small claims court.

Well better go wake Captain Nemo up off the couch and put him to bed.

Debi

Welcome back, Lynn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear of your troubles, hope next week goes well for you!! :grouphug:

Wow, Deb, how creepy about the accident stuff....................so where is the new location for your store??? HOW EXCITING IS THAT??? GL with everything! :thumbsup2

Well, this weekend the wind is blowing around here, it's supposed to last into tomorrow night......the good thing is that Jess's games are cancelled for tomorrow and Tracy is with us and hanging out with her little sister! The Black Eyed Peas and the Pussycat Dolls were really fun tonight!! :woohoo: Only a few more weeks and Tara will be in FL dodging hurricanes!! :confused3

oh wow private scrapbook shopping anytime day or night!!! a dream come true!!!!
Good Luck with the move Debi Thanks for trying to contact a consultant for me.
I hope the weather isn't too bad for you we're coming out in sympathy with youwind and rain forecast here for the weekend.
Hope the stuff with Alex's car works itself out
Keith loves the Pussycat Dolls Joann he's very jealous.
All my Disney plans for Oct are in place 49days today and i'll be in New York with you all, I love the fact that I' totally unplanned for the new York bit I'm just leaving it to the Locals not my style normally but very relaxing :cheer2:

DEBI - so happy for you, with the new shop (everyone, I'm writing here with NO coffee in me yet - speaking of coffee, Debi, get that beautiful coffeemaker cranking for me - thanks)...no matter what day, what time (yes, I MUST stay up past 9 PM during our visit), I want to see the shop. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Another thing Debi - did you EVER think of getting a job with the courthouse....you've been there quite a bit (I'm not laughing!)....there seems to be something VERY fishy going on with that family). :scared1:

Lynn: I only know things about cooking and Disney - sorry I can't help 'ya.
By the way, what is a Pussycat Doll?!!!!!! :confused3

I'm a little worried about DISdaddy and Alice, the shore seems to have gotten hit hard with the wind and rain. Also, JoAnn, and Debi too. We're just getting rain and wind, nothing major as predicted. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I just also made plans to go to NYC the first Saturday in November to see
Mamma Mia - I've been wanting to see that show for years. It will be a female cousin day, four of us...Bob said "go"! He'll be too involved with the high school musical at the time. :cool1:  :cheer2: :yay:

IF Jenny doesn't soon respond, and Kathy, and Brianna, and Bill, I'm going on strike again, no posts till we hear from them...do you people really want that again :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

We got back last night. Our flight was delayed about 45 minutes which was nothing considering how bad the weather had been. We missed out on 10+ inches of rain here. My grass is green again! Give me a chance to read though the board to catch up and I'll post again later. I missed you guys!

Kathy

I have really been busy this week with school, home, football, etc. John did well in his first game. He played both sides of the ball and all but one down. He had an equipment problem, so he went out for a repair on that down. He LOVED it. I am surprised since he is such a "whimp"!! ;)

THe bee thing with John is only worse. I am now mowing, but Marshall has been pushing the front yard which is perfectly flat. He does an amazing job! Mark is not pleased with my doing the mowing since it does mess with my back, but until he comes home from work before dark, it's up to me.... :confused3 I refuse to pay people to mow since we are capable of doing it...

I have been so self-absorbed this week that I didn't realize how bad Ernesto was affecting all of you. I am praying for your safety and well being. It isn't pretty. I cannot believe at the same time that Cabo is getting it as well. THat was one stop I DID enjoy. Very beautiful..........

Kathy ~ I am glad you are home "safe". Let us know how your trip(s) was/were.

Lynn~ I am glad to see you on the boards. Sounds like you are having a rough go of it as well. Sympathy weather....that's good!

Bill & Big Al ~ Batton down the hatches and stay safe!!!!!

JoAnn ~ I am glad you are enthusiastic this year. I like my kids. THey don't shut up, but I can deal with that! :rotfl2: It's just like having a room full of Lucys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Lucy ~ I am so glad you guys went to bat for Tyler and got that all straightened out. A happy child is a successful child, no doubt.

Debi ~ I was thinking the same thing about you and the court system. Sadly enough you will be very knowledgeable! I hope your new store works out. You deserve to have the best.... You've been very patient....

I am still disappointed about now being able to be a DisReunion III. :sad2:

Mark got our plans arranged for Tampa last week. We will fly down on Friday night and stay at BCV (nothing at BWV). We'll do PI and F&W on Friday night and Sat. day before going to Tampa to meet up with our friends at the Grand Hyatt. The Bengals will stay there too which is fun. The game is Sunday afternoon, but we will remain there until Monday evening and fly back. Mark did a heck of a job with airfare. We are both flying round trip for a TOTAL OF $260. (yes, $130 EACH!!!!!). :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I am listening to the Wicked CD. I cannot get over how awesome that was (I know I have said this already, but I am so addicted!!!).

Mal & I are off to the Indiana/W. Michigan football game at 6 and meeting John there, then catching up with Marshall and Mark in Cincinnati. King's Island tomorrow and Reds/Giants on Monday. Barry "Roid" Bonds is in town!!! :rotfl2: We've ordered tailgating food and all to the football game. It's such a beautiful surrounding that I do like that. Mark won't step foot on campus :sad2: , so I just go and enjoy!!!

HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND! :wizard:

Everyone, please stay safe!!

Welcome back, Kathy, we need a full trip report!!! :cool1:

Your weekend sounds great, Jenny is it the 10/14 weekend? That sounds like an amazing trip! BTW, Tara just saw Wicked with her boyfriend this week in NYC so she's obsessed too!I haven't! :smooth:

The Pussycat Dolls have a few hits in recent months, they are a burlesque type act in Las Vegas who have recently evolved into Pop stars, Lucy! They were the opening act last night and they were quite fun, sorry, Keith! ;)

I'm still working on the NYC weekend, I have a ressie for Saturday night at the Marriott Marquis. I wanted it closer to the Manhattan area in case "the rents" need a break, since we seem to have a lot of touring in mind......we are all so psyched for that weekend! Also, I'm working on bringing my younger two daughters but we may have to leave after breakfast on Sunday for that to work due to their schedules. So hopefully Alex and Bri and maybe "the boy(s)" will be there, Lucy? :cloud9:

I've heard from the rents, apparently they floated away and are now in Delaware! Heavy winds, etc............................... :lmao:

Hey, Debs & Lynn, it's almost time to book air for next summer, I'm thinking maybe just direct flights to BCN from JFK at this point.

Will the parents call from Delaware, to make sure everyone is ok? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Loved it Jenny, still laughing...a room full of Lucys!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It has turned into a beautiful morning...sunshine, finally. We are having friends over for dinner, glad we can hit the grill, or I would need to cook (and not Bob) :furious: :furious: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Bob and I are discussing this wonderful show Wicked....taking a weekend in January or February (when rates drop, a little, for the hotels), getting the tickets ahead of time (we are usually a 1/2 price family for Broadway shows) for Christmas presents, and seeing this show, then getting tickets at half price for an evening show, whatever is available. Looks like this is the only way we'll see this show. :confused3 :woohoo:

more later :Pinkbounc :yay: :cool1:
