Jenny's here........ That's about it! Rough week with the princess. She hit rock bottom Wed. morning and Daddy intervened! She is now wearing t-shirts and shorts to school (much to her dismay) and spends all her time in her room or at my side. Marshall got to go to my mom's last night, but she attended my meeting with me. I don't know what to do guys. I am truely depressed.......seriously...... :sad2:

Thankfully I have my Chicago trip to look forward to tomorrow! :Pinkbounc It couldn't come at a better time! We are leaving right after school, so we will be in CHi town in time for dinner!!! :bounce: I am turning my phone OFF!!! :lmao:

How funny that Ted and Kathy ran into Patrick again! I wonder if they saw "General Jeff" too!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

It's great Kathy that Ted has all his "ducks in a row". Congratulations! You are finally going "home"!!!! :wizard:

JoAnnieslr ~ now that your girls are filing out, want a shot at the "princess"? :rolleyes1

Ok, this is it............my last weekend before school starts!!!

We had a battle with the FH coach this week, too much drama!!! You all know how Jessica has done with soccer so we she was "benched" this week, we were puzzled! Evidently only the player is allowed to talk to the coach, not the parents! So Ken wrote an email to coach requesting that she "cut" Jess if she is such a weak player and instead she played her more but wouldn't talk to us!! I wish I had that option when parents question me about what decisions I make! :rotfl:

Jennnniiieeeeesssss, I PMed you, I hope I can help, I'm sure my girls have done something like your little princess at some point! princess:

Tracy keeps calling with requests for us to bring things she forgot, I wish I could say, "Sure, I'll bring it to you AS SOON AS YOU BREAK UP WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND!" :smokin: pirate:

Right now, I like Tara.........................

I hope everything is okay with Lucccceee and Lynn! I'll see the rents this w/e and make them checkin

Perhaps, Kathy will return with highlights from WDW to cheer us up! :woohoo: :dance3:

Ok, me again..........I have booked two rooms for my "rents" and I in the Marriott Marquis on 10/21.................it's for "his" 70th, so I splurged!! We plan to meet everyone on Saturday morning. So it's time to start planning!!! :thumbsup2

Hope all are having a nice weekend (my LAST weekend!) :grouphug:

JAoanne: You are SO right - a VERY challenging week it seemed for all of us...wonder how Debi made it thru. :furious: :furious: :furious:
Not to depress you, but my mind HAD to be on work, and I had these other issues at home, very, very stressful week. Thank goodness it is over (the week, that is) ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Jenny enjoying a weekend away...hope she has a GREAT time

Kathy in Disney :cheer2: :cheer2:

OK, i'm depressed again - gotta prepare Tyler for his first day of school...Bob, Tyler and I went to Old Navy last night...he's good for the first 4 days. :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: Bob works his "real" job this weekend, i get to work in the house......oh, guys, listen to this:

Happy Birthday Bob :bday: party: :love1: :love2: pixiedust:

HB, BOB!! :thumbsup2 :bday:

W/O a doubt, raising our girls the last few years has been particularly trying,....... :grouphug: you're not alone, Loose.

What are your plans for this weekend????? :dance3:

and I'm thinking...does Tyler need any supplies for school? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
was there a paper sent home LAST year :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
I think this is a VERY good time to think about it, don't you? :confused3

I needed that weekend! I am tellling you, WICKED was the most awesome thing I have EVER seen!! :thumbsup2 Mark even enjoyed it! :lmao: I have always loved the music, but the actors were fabulous! Also, I was amazed by the lighting/special effects. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Bob~ we've talked about "Defying Gravity". THat was by far the most awesome part of the show. After that part (the intermission) Mark looked at tme and just said, "WOW!"

Mark and I went out after the show for dinner, then back to the hotel for drinks. We laughed and talked. We also talked with some others sitting around at the bar. When we went upstairs I wasn't that tired, but I discovered that by Indiana time it was 3:00 a.m.!!! Yes, Lucy 3!!!! :dance3:

I shopped all day Sat. on Michigan Ave. (the place to shop in Chicago..like a 5th Ave., but not THAT good!). I went back today for a little bit too. I did some Christmas shopping at American Girl (the original store) as well as some other gifts, plus some clothes for myself. Mark even bought himself a new sports jacket. My feet are killing me!

Unfortunately, Mark's car (his baby, right Bob and Lucy??) was damaged while in valet. It's not that bad, no dents, but the paint will need to be repaired on the back bumper. Also the weather guard below the engine was damaged somehow. I was proud of him. He took it well. We filed a claim the the hotel. Hopefully it won't be too much of a pain.

Little Missy is receiving her privledges back tomorrow. She has been SO GOOD since Wed, including at my mom's. She really gave us a talk tonight about how she is rich because she has a family who loves her. She also now realizes how lucky she is to have all the things she does. Maybe this will last???? :confused3 She was excitied to pick out a PRETTY outfit for school tomorrow... :dance3:

Monday night football tomorrow night.......Bengals and the Packers. Carson Palmer's debut. :cheer2: Mark is going alone. :furious: Some of us have work and school! :sad2: :furious:

Wow, two ends of the spectrum..............shopping for school supplies or seeing a show, dinner and shopping in Chicago!!! WTG, Jenni; Yikes, Luci!

My last day of freedom is tomorrow, BTW, but no kids until next Tuesday (except when I meet all the families on Thursday at 2pm for an hour.)

Today I drove from the shore to "Harleysville" where I signed Jess to a new soccer team (an hour away from my home.) :guilty: Then I received a call from another top team in the country (no kidding) who wanted to see Jess play at Villanova University. SO, I drove her there where she tried out. By 9:30pm, the top team coach called offering her a spot on that team. It's a dream come true and it's only 45 minutes away!!! So now, KEN has to call the first team and take her off the team, I know, you're dying to hear what happens tomorrow! :hourglass That's where I was while Jenni was in Chicago and Luci was school supply shopping!!! :rotfl2:

I bet you wish you were me!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

CONGRATS TO JESS!

OK, so everyone is wondering how my week ended or my weekend began...Not too good, I might say so sorry I haven't been on the board all weekend, there is a reason why, just kind of out of it this w/e.

Jenny - I wish I had the small problems that you have right now, I know they seem to be big ones...but belive me they are small compared to what goes on when they get older.

OK, so here goes...are we having the year from hell here with our children, or what...is each one of them going to test us individually...I guess so...Friday night Alex calls around 11:50 to let me know she is at the Hooka bar and then they are going to get a bite to eat, so she shouldn't be home too late...ok, no problem. About 1/2 hour later the phone rings again, her # comes up (and you know when you get the feeling that this is not going to be good)...it's Alex, and her friend totalled her car. No one is hurt, thank God. So Micco and I quick get dressed and go to the accident scene. It seems that Alex let her friend Julie borrow her car to run down the block to the ATM, and Julie crased the car into a tree (and yes, totalled it). Now Julie is in the ambulance and they take her to the emergency room. Where are Julie's parents, not at the accident scene. Oh and mind you, Julie just got her license, doesn't even have the official license from DMV, just a piece of paper (what was my daughter thinking????). So we go to the emergency room to make sure the kid is ok, also thinking her mother or father or someone will show up. Neither parent ever shows us. Micco and I sat there until 4:30 in the morning until they finally released her. Her parents are divorced. She never got in touch with her father, but her mother refused to come because she was furious with her. Being a parent, I don't care how mad you are at your kid, your kid is in the emergency room, you go, and you take care of your kid later.

So to make a long story short, my daughter is now without a car, without a job. We are working on getting her a car, and hopefully not only she has learned a valuable lesson from this, maybe Briana learns something too, and never lends her car out when she starts driving. I thank God nobody was hurt, and Alex is going to try to get the book value of the car from her friend, but who knows if that is going to happen...we are not counting on it.

So that is how my weekend was, and unfortunately had no desire to tell anyone about it till now.

Having fun yet, I know I am.... :confused3

Disdaddy Just go to www.nfl.com and sign in under your name and password, then your team should be there. I did a live draft yesterday with one of my teams, I got a few good players, didn't get the QB I wanted, but it was fun. I got Larry Johnson as one of my RB and McNabb as my QB. Micco thinks he may do good this year with TO gone.

Miss you guys.

Debi

I agree, my problems are nothing! I forget sometimes wrapped up here in my little midwestern world that there are bigger things out there! THanks for the reality check!!

Busy day.......Mark is at the Bengals game right now and Carson Palmer is looking good! (he is playing well too!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ). THe kids and I stayed back. One of our Cincinnati friends is from Wisconsin, so his Packer buddies picked up our extras. I am feverishly trying to get caught up! :lmao: Yeah, right!

John plays his first football game tomorrow night. This should be interesting!

there was SOMETHING weird going on with all our kids last week.
Thank goodness everyone is ok, I agree with you Deb, why weren't her
parents there!
I worry about that every single night that Bryan leaves the house and doesn't get home till who knows when. He is truly giving us a run for
our money.

AND, now Tyler HATES high school, won't eat lunch (we've only got 179 more days to go!), such issues we are having with what the middle scheduled for him....do you teachers call a "C" in math a flunking grade and he must be put in with a bunch of learning support students that he doesn't know, and he must eat lunch with them, none of his friends. Guys, it is not good. Bob, Tyler and I are sick about this.
Nothing good right now guys, yes, everyone is in good health. That's about all i can say.

we are now under a tornado watch, and flood warning, as we speak.

This weekend, Hurricane Ernesto could hit us (us, being Kathy, JoAnne and Debi, Bill and us).....

I'm home alone, Tyler and Bob at musical practice, and the "big one" wouldn't stay home.....I'm going to eat cake, RIGHT NOW, i'm so frustrated ("some" of us would :drinking1 , not me, I :mickeybar ).

Today, at the university, if I could have had $1 (yes, only one dollar) for every question I answered, I could buy ALL of you more points for the DVC.

Tyler STILL hasn't eaten lunch, or breakfast - I know, he won't waste away, but it is NOT good for him...I can't wait till he starts feeling comfortable in high school.

SO, anyone else have any GOOD thing to say...I don't :sad2: :sad2:

Luce - Sorry to hear about Tyler's struggles. He is a good kid, and I am sure he will find his way...

Anyway, as I sit here with my glass of wine :woohoo: :woohoo: a little alcohol for me can be a cure all for what ails ya...I will have a sip for you Lucy. Had ice cream Sunday night, that helped a little too...even with all this depressing dreary rain. I have had enough! 4 days straight of gloom...Where is the sun? :smooth:

Jenny - Hope John has a great first game!

Debi

Rodger that Deb.... I finally figured it out......

That's pretty exciting stuff...with the car accident and all... thank God no one hurt, there are so many things that can happen with these damm cars...
Your a better parent than I, sitting in a hospital till 4:30 with someone elses kid :thumbsup2 I feel the mother would be hearing some pretty strong words from me :furious:
Hey Johanese does that mean Jess goes straight to Villanova...good for her

Happy Birthday BOB.....see how easy it is :Pinkbounc those years just keep sliding by..... :woohoo:

Well, Debs, that is quite a story and so unbelievable........did you mention if Alex's girlfriend is okay? Some people are nuts!! For some reason, our kids don't believe us so they have to do everything the hard way.......so sorry for your long night!! :stir: I really can't believe that parent's lack of concern, thank goodness you were there for her!!!

Lucee, I would make an appointment with Tyler's counselor and DEMAND to discuss this situation, didn't he just start high school?? It sounds like you need some questions answered, the school year just started. :Pinkbounc ...please let us know what your school does for you!

I told you guys last week that we were assertive about Jess with the FH coach, we were told by the coach not to question her in a memo before the season started.............well, it's not college and this week Jess was listed in the newspaper as a "key performer" for the FH team. How ridiculous is that? I realize this is all stupid stuff, but I don't think she's too old for alittle parent intervention! :smooth:

No, Dad she is not going to Villanova (but she'll be training there!) We have landed into the world of Oz............you would not believe the places her new team is going this year!! We have to list all her accomplishments on this website before her next tournament..............it's nuts!! :woohoo:

I had my first day today and I'm beat...............also, I'm not used to working......also, everyone I work with was making mountains out of molehills, other than that it was A GREAT DAY!!! :cloud9:

I wonder what happened to Lynn and Kathy????? :wave2:
