***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

Grrrr.....myself and Micky will be going to AK twice, so it's not bad for us, but my sisters and brother will only have one day there. Ugh. I suppose they can try and rope drop one of the rides....

I certainly hope they don't tier Everest with Pandora, that would be annoying.

Guess we will find out tomorrow. Glad I'm not having to be surprised on my FP+ day

And we have time to learn from everyone else's triumphs or mistakes! :rotfl:

Ha! I'm sure we will each have our own on our trips.

I am glad that we will have a few months of Pandora being open before we go, though if I didn't have a long weekend trip the weekend before it opens, I would have probably tried to get down there for the opening.

Yes! I feel bad for all the people out there with uncertainty for their summer trips, but relaxed knowing we will have plenty of time to read about what worked and didn't work!

Ok, so I see that Oct 9th is Columbus day - what does that mean for Orlando generally? It is the day we move from DW to Universal, so won't be a park day for either - I was thinking about shopping, or other attractions. Different countries treat public holidays different ways, so thought I should check what is open and if their hours are affected (I was in Munich for a public holiday some years ago and EVERYTHING was shut!)

Most likely only government offices, schools, and maybe banks will be closed.

Going to put the 13 month AP to good use!!! :goodvibes Flights booked for return trip end of Oct/beginning of Nov - planning first MNSSHP , and a repeat visit to Food & Wine!!:cheer2:

Hi! Would you like to joint the front page list? Do you have dates or just general Oct/Nov?

Oh and....welcome!!! :welcome:

Just booked a split stay at Grand Floridian Villas and Wilderness Lodge Villas! Super excited! We were at Disney last December and it seems like forever til we go again in october

Hi guys, so looking forward to this, only a month ish till ADR day! I've now changed resort due to the construction and will now be enjoying the sights and sounds of Port Orleans Riverside!

Question for all you who have been to WDW during Halloween....

I would love to see Stitch as Elvis (who wouldn't, right) Is there a chance that he will be at O'Hana's or somewhere else at the Poly? It seems that Disney is putting a bit more effort into putting characters at the resorts but they don't promise or advertise that. We are not going to a Not so scary party.. so a resort is my best opportunity.

Any one who knows, Please help me out. Thanks in advance!!

Last December, character meets were listed on our resort activity calendar. I checked other resort calendars during our trip dates too, and ended up meeting Mickey and Minnie at Beach Club in adorable outfits we'd never seen before. We skipped them at our resort (Boardwalk) because they were wearing the same thing we'd met them in at Animal Kingdom.

Maybe they'll do the same thing for October?? Specific characters weren't noted, so we had no idea who we'd see, but we knew someone would be there at the designated time. Stitch as Elvis would be adorable :lovestruc

Great Information!!! Thanks

You're welcome! It was one of my favorite little extras in December...I honestly hadn't even thought of it for October, but now I'm going to keep my eye out!! We'll be staying at the Poly so I'm going to be on Stitch Watch, LOL!!

I'm booked from 10/18-10/24 at CBR. I'm on the fence about going to MNSSHP. If I don't get tickets to that, is it better to go to MK on a non party day ?

If you have park hopper, go to MK the morning of a party and hop elsewhere at night. Non party days are extra busy during the holiday seasons. If you don't have PH, and want to see the regular MK nightime shows, non party days will be your only option.

100% agree! A non-party Saturday will be especially insane in MK!

so I am at a stand-still with my planning. Not knowing exactly when the partys are gonna be the week I am there is putting a damper on things. I The only day I have planned is my first one. LOL.

But ADRs are not until May 2nd..so I do have time to get my plans together.
