***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

We've had good weather over several Oct. visits... not humid, practically perfect in every way...
I agree 100%! Out of all the different months, October has been my favorite! I comfortably wore shorts everyday, no humidity, nice breeze, and I had no rain (went later in the month).

Obviously things can change, but in December I've had REALLY cold days/nights, March unseasonably warm and humid, and May summer weather and rain storms more than your typical Florida afternoon.

I am a very happy person, just did my ADRs and got the 4 I wanted at almost the times I wanted. Missed the 8am for Akershus, but might keep an eye out for changes on that one, if we do feel it is a must.

Just waiting for the Halloween party dates and the ROL stuff to be available for booking for us!

Well here I am thinking of adding on another trip this year. I have Universal APs and well just gotta get one more use out of them right? And some vacation days to burn too. Can't think of a better way to do it than this. I'm in the process of buying DVC resale so I'll have some points to use anyway, if I can get lucky and find a room for 2 nights. I realize it's super late in the DVC game to be looking for this year so my hopes aren't high. Otherwise I think we'll stay at either Pop Century or one of the Port Orleans resorts.

I have nothing booked so far. But here's the plan if/when discounts get released:
Flights from ORD to MCO
Pop, POFQ or PORS 10/4-10/6
Halloween Tix (10/5)
PBR (At Universal) 10/6-10/9

Been reading these boards forever, been to Disney over 100 times, but just joined. looking forward to a quick trip in October. Am really a Christmas person (also staying at Yacht Club in December) but went in September last year to the Halloween party and had a blast.

our dates are 10/11 t0 10/16 at Port Orleans French Quarter.

looking forward to booking dining soon. is there a calendar on the boards that easily shows dates for dining and fast passes booking?

For fast passes, you have 30-60 days before arrival. (I just tried on my MDE app and was unable to do FP booking.) As for dining, I THINK it's 180 days out but I may be wrong.

Wooohooooo!!!!!! Was able to get all my adr's including bog, brunch on the top ! I did all my reservations through my disney experience app started 6:15 am. EST . It was really easy just a heads up if you tapbreakfast, lunch,or dinner. You might not see your restaurant .Thats what happen with brunch on top then i put in a specific time and it popped up . Good luck all

I'm baaaack! Our plans for our Disney Cruise didn't work out so we're back to our initial plans to visit WDW in October. Now booked from Oct 23 - Nov 2. I lucked out and got AK Kidani Deluxe Studio "Savanna view" and the Boardwalk Villas "boardwalk view" 1 BR right around Halloween. I really lucked out on both as both the Boardwalk and Animal Kingdom Villas showed up out of the blue. Got a 1 BR 'boardwalk view" for 3 nights but had to settle for a Garden Pool view for our final night. Now if I can only get that WL for a boardwalk view room to come through for the last night, that would be serendipitous! My luck with WL ressies has been really good so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Can't wait to do our first MNSSHP!

So you got BOG at 180?! That's what I'm hoping to do!

So I look at crowd calendars, etc. and then I kind of just forget them. :rotfl: In reality, as long as you get there early, you can plan your day out and get a lot done no matter the crowds.

This trip I'm very laidback about parks/fast passes. We are going for 9 nights, and last time we did that I feel like we finished everything in the first few days! So this time I'm just kind of spreading the parks out. I know where we are eating each night, the parks are just kind of falling into place around it.

9 nights is amazing! We have 8 nights and I was pushing for 9 but DH would have no part of it. :duck:

I'm in!!! Will be there Oct 14-21, staying off property, most likely Windsor Hills. Will be with husband and 2 year old daughter. So excited...and overwhelmed. Very different to plan vacation as a family of 3! Can't wait

Your daughter is beautiful!

Cool! gonna remember this for next month!! Thanks

Tomorrow is ADR day! Im crossing every movable appendage I have for a BOG Lunch and Dinner and a ROL package-but the ROL packages seem to only be loaded through September 30 ugh.

We are going Oct 6-14, airfare bought and hotel (AoA-LM) and tickets booked. ADR's on Sunday!! This will be our 3rd trip in October (Fall Break) to WDW. Last year we went to Disneyland over fall break. I love that we still get as excited to go as we did when we planned our first trip on 2009.

Put the countdown on my phone today! 199 days to go! I don't know who's more excited, me or my daughter! DH decided not to go this time, so my parents are tagging along.

Very true! :hyper: I feel the same and it's just as much work as the last two times and way more than it used to be.
