I am super underwhelmed by Southwest's flights that came out today. I was so hopeful to get those booked, but I guess I'll be waiting until June when they have their big sale. As for the calendar...I'm hoping for tomorrow as well. I saw somewhere said the TA calendars are released on Fridays/Mondays

Flights weren't too bad for us, we did one way trips, leaving from one airport and flying back in to another. Flight times were better for us that way and the flight home comes in to the airport closer to us.

Yea, park hours usually will be released on Fridays or Mondays, I was hoping we would see them this past Monday but no such luck. I will be glad when Pandora opens, least we will have an idea about hours and whether they are going to do PM EMH, which I would love. But I suspect my initial plans will change about 4 times before October even gets here. Thanks to Disney's lack of information. There were some F&W events from last year, that if they have going on this year, I would have made sure I went during those days, but now, Im locked in and will just deal with what is available.

9 nights sounds amazing!

It is, but it's super expensive, which is why we only go every few years! We go "less" expensive places in between.

And I miss my cats sooo much when we travel, the guilt...they stay at our vet, they share a huge kennel with toys and soft bedding, and everybody there loves them. Plus if anything were to (god forbid) happen, at least they are at the best place.

They are litter-mates and they just turned 2!

Just checking in. Out flight times there opened on Thursday and they were horrible. Booked the super early flight out so we had something since I only had 2 non stop options. Hoping return flight times will be better when they open. Also can't wait til they have MNSSHP dates out and I can book those. Happy planning everyone!

A not so great rumor to report. It seems Splash Mountain will be getting a refurb from August to November. I won't add it to the front page until it's been verified though. Someone reported certain cast members got the refub list today, Splash was on for that time frame.

Fingers crossed it's not true!!!

I just read a rumor that Expedition Everest may also get a refurb to fix the Yeti once Pandora FP+s were all situated. Again, this is a RUMOR, and who knows how long it will take them to be satisfied with Pandora FP+s.

Last October, Big Thunder and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster were both down. I was SO sad!

Also, it would be incredibly short-sighted to take Everest down during the first few months Pandora is open. That is one less HUGE draw for that park- making fast passes for Pandora close to impossible.

Hopefully all will be well in AK. I just rode EE at night for the first time and it was great! Completely different experience!

I am so bummed. I love Splash Mountain so much - but I will be devastated if Splash AND Everest are down during our trip. The bright side? It makes my decision to get an AP and go a whole bunch in 2018 easier haha!

Hi, we are going in October too! 29th Sept to 9 October (then 3 nights at Orlando). We are in NZ, so it is a one and done for us - wah! There is me, DH and DD who will be 10 by the time we get there. Currently booked for PORFQ, but may change.

Bit sad that Splash mountain is down!! Is there anything similar??

I'm super sad about Splash, but I will really upset if Everest is down also. I added more days to the trip so I could spend more time at DAK at night. I could handle it better if I knew it was to fix the Yeti, but I don't think that will happen. I did get to ride both back in November and we are going back before our cruise February 2018, so I need to look at the bright side and I have ridden Everest with the Yeti actually working, which was amazing, really wish they would fix him.

@Felicis, sorry that this this will be your one and done. You will have a great time no matter what! POFQ is a beautiful resort, if you get a chance head over to PORS and see Bob Jackson at the River Roost Lounge, its a lot of fun!



I cant believe hours still aren't released yet. I thought my Thanksgiving trip last year was hard to plan, this one is worse with us going primarily for Food and Wine and having no idea what events will be happening. I'm not so excited about the food booths, I want to do the Food and Wine pairings and Demonstrations. I keep staring at my spreadsheet trying to pick park days and decide what ADRs I will make, guess I will over plan and then cancel what I don't need later.

Sucks about Splash. If they close EE too, that would really be bad. That was the one thrill ride my son was too chicken to go on 2 years ago, and he's mustered the courage to go on it this trip.
