***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

I stopped getting notification for this thread for some reason.

I have a ton of plans, mostly based on historical data of which park tend to get EMH on which days, as well as Halloween parties. So basically this is all subject to change when the Offical info comes out if the days don't fall the way they have in the last few years. It looks like this thus far:

Thursday 10-5 Epcot day
Lunch at Biergarten
Late Dinner at Rose and crown with outside seating to watch illuminations

Every weekend when I get some me time and I sit down and plan, plan away. Next step is deciding on specific times for ADRs and eventually FP+.

Are Illuminations on every night in October? I can only find details up to July? I want to book Via Napoli for our night there (when ADR's open!)

Illuminations is every night, every month at 9:00. Different times on New Year's and July 4th. :)

Going on my honeymoon. We'll be at OKW 10/24-27. Off to a cruise and then 10/30-11/1 at POFQ.

Planning on doing 2 parties as he needs to meet Genie and he goes back & forth with Jack & Sally. I'm sure at one we'll be going with our wedding theme and dress up as Tinkerbell and Captain Hook

Be Our Guest is a must for him and 1900 Park Fare. Both for dinners. Really hoping the Highway in the Sky option stays but if not was considering Narcoossee's.

Halloween I'm hoping is similar to this last year with having Oogie Boogie available at Saratoga Springs so whatever we do I was having it be flexible around the same time they had so we can jump. One of his favorite characters that I hadn't heard was available to meet as I thought it was only in the party parade.

Hello! I'm new to the boards and myself, my husband and my 4 year old daughter are booked at POFQ for 10/12-10/19 for our very first WDW vacation! I went with my family as a teenager and loved it, but my husband truly has NO IDEA what he's in for on this trip! I can't wait! If MNSSHP historical dates are an indication, we'll be hitting up the party on 10/17. We are planning on TONS of character dining and a few signature restaurants so we opted for the Deluxe plan. I love the idea of it all just being paid for and not having to worry about it. I already have a very tentative plan for parks and dining, and I can't wait to see how it all shakes out on our 180 day mark!

I also like the idea of prepaying for meals. With the dining plan I can just relax and enjoy where otherwise I would feel the need to penny pinch and I would get stressed as I watched the costs build up.

I know many of us will be attending MNSSHP...so anyone thinking of costumes yet? I've never been a costume person, but for some reason dressing up for the party seems really fun to me. I have been fixated on it today, looking at pinterest and etsy for ideas. I have a terrible cold, so it's keeping my mind off that.

Snow White or something Haunted Mansion related are what I'm typically drawn to.

Does anyone have costume plans already??

If anyone was planning on doing Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, they just released the dates on their website here. We'll likely go on the Wednesday the 18th or Thursday the 19th to avoid the weekend crowds. Now that these dates are out, we can plan the rest of our days around it.

I've always done costumes in the past for MHP in Disneyland but I'm think of keeping it simple this year and just doing a Halloween shirt or Disneybounding. I don't usually fly to the parks so I don't feel any stress over how much I pack-as long as it fits in the car we were good to go. But last year we wer rather hot at the early October party, my son even refused to wear his costume. Then I have to buy another costume for work since we theme our costumes so I think for the first time I'm not going to be doing a full costume.

Well, sad news to report. I called the athletic director at oldest DS's school and the last football game will be 10/27. Now I remember why we haven't done a Halloween trip before...he's always playing sports! LOL! So I think I am tapping out of an October trip. Have to talk to DH about it, but we will definitely want to do something that includes the oldest since he graduates next June. I might try to convince hubby to do a cruise! I'm guessing our only other option would be sometime around Veterans Day, but he really can't miss school/practice so I just don't think this fall will work out for us.

Thanks! I have added the link to the first post. :)

I'm either being a skunk or a raccoon. I have the tails/ears for both (don't ask why  ) and all I have to do is wear black shorts/skirt and a black top. Easy peasy. :) Micky will probably just wear a Halloween t-shirt, or maybe I can find him something silly.

Here's my raccoon - maybe? Don't mind my giant head!!!

Those ears are cute!!

Thanks! It looks better when I don't have a stupid smirk on my face and my hair is down. :p The tail is great too. And...easy to pack! The skunk is basically the same, but, a skunk.

For Haunted Mansion...one year I went as a spider web. I wore black shorts, top with a black crocheted (kind of web like) pull over. Black lace tights (web like) and a spider on my head! It was fun, lot's of comments. :) I can't find a picture though...
