He's Going to Camp AND We're Still Going to Disney:) Update Dec 14 post #665

Love your AKL update and pics. You got some really good shots. The animals looked closer in your pictures than in the ones I took. Anyway, enjoyed your update a lot. Can't wait to hear more.:surfweb:

I have wanted to look at other resorts but I feel the same as you. It does feel like you are sortove sneaking around in someone elses house. I kindove feel that I don't deserve to be there since I didn't pay $$$ to stay there. Funny story, in 2004 we did go to AKL pool one afternoon for a swim (not knowing it wasn't okay to pool hop). No one ever said anything to us, but afterward I felt bad because I cheated. I know better now. Very nice pool. One day I'll be a guest at the Y&BC so I can go to Stormalong Bay. Which ever of the resorts has the Dragon pool, I want to go there too.

:rotfl2:

You bad pool hopper you. The resort police will be after you now.

Don't tell anyone but on some of the pictures I cheated. (Cropping is a wonderful tool.)

This was scheduled to be our quiet couples day. We took our time in the morning, having breakfast in the room and heading out to Epcot. Plans today included a late lunch ressie at my fav Le Cellier as well as a couples massage package at the Dolphin.

Began with a ride on SE

We then checked out some great Disney art. I could have spent a bundle in that store:laughing:

Then it was off to World Showcase where we rode Maelstrom with a group of newbies (always fun to see the terror in their faces when they see the falls)

Stopped in Germany for a coolie (Becks) then waited out a shower while in Japan. ***Gross sighting*** One of the MANY women we saw with execeptionally LONG toenails that were painted dark purple. Those nails were longer than my fingernails.

Lots more to come but its time for Heroes. Next up- declansdad meets a hottie-too-hottie and we get our pic taken with a rare character.

I don't mean to stare....

but, dude,

your head

is on

backwards!

Does that make things difficult for you in your daily life?

Well, at least your students can never do anything crazy behind your back.;)

Great start at EPCOT. I love going in Art of Disney and dreaming about the perfect place for that picture in my den.

It is actually something I developed in the classroom. I'm owl-like. :rotfl2:

great update and pics.

eeww on the nails.

:lmao: :lmao: Glad everyone had the same thoughts per the toenails.

As we walked to Morroco, we had what i call a very special character sighting. Can you guess who?

Let me give you a hint: Tarzan no like soup with cheese:confused3

It was Jane from Tarzan

We had never seen Jane so it was kinda cool for us. She made some crack about my "ape" (I assume she meant DH) and I told her he was housebroken.:rotfl:

Then on through

The Jester...

met royalty.

There was only one other person in with Jasmine and we had a nice chat. During our walkabout Morocco we decided that we would like to return for lunch before we left.

Did someone say lunch?? Off to Le Cellier.

We travelled through

before reaching the motherland. Ah home again!

The meal was fantabulous as usual. Again, had one of those "I don't understand why we can't get a table" encounters but again, not our problem.

My requisite cheddar cheese soup:

DH's steak:

to be washed down with:

(for those that are unaware, "La Fin du monde" translates as the end of the world. Ver POTCesque I think pirate:)

My filet:

After our engorging meal, we walked back through to France where we saw these guys (see Kathy!)

The food at Le Cellier is amazing but I would not recommend La Fin Du Monde. The same brewery (from Quebec) has another beer called Maudite (I'll let pooksma tanslate that one for you :rotfl: ) It is much better.

I have never seen Jane out and about! Too neat!

Lunch does look yummy!

We had never seen Jane before either. It was very early in the morning and there wasn't many people out and about; that means no lines. The best way to get pictures with the characters.

My dh says his favorite "princess" is Jane, but we've never met her.
I would LOVE to run into her so I can tease him. LOL

We love to visit your "motherland" at Epcot too, for the food. I don't think we've seen the movie since 1991. I have been putting it off until the kids are bigger.

Great update! :thumbsup2

Great World Showcase pictures. I will be looking for Jane on my next trip, I need a picture of her for my album.
