Hershey Park?

We go to Hershey a lot bc it is so close. It is very hilly but doable, they do have great coasters and fun kid rides too. There is a mini zoo there that is included in your park admission. DS6 loves it. Chocolate World is separate from the park and you do not need park admission. It has the simulated Chocolate Tour, a 3D movie (a fee) and a huge candy store.

They have a preview plan that has worked great for our family. You are allowed in the day before up to 3hours before the park closes with your next day admission ticket. So say the park closes at 10, we go to Chocolate World about 5, do some of that, then at 7 go in and do whatever we can, so that the next day we can either redo them or they are already done and we also have a feel for the park.

We also stay at the Hershey Lodge, you can get in an hour before the park opens if you stay within the Hershey system. Only certain parts are open at that time, Founder's Circle and Comet Hollow, but we get those done and then when the park opens we are headed further into the park.

I would also recommend weekdays too. Kids get out around here in mid June, if you can go before that the crowds are low. My kids had a Inservice day off in June before shcool let out and we went to HP and it was empty.

$300 a night for the Lodge, $400 a night for the Hotel - we used to stay at the Lodge, but since we need 2 rooms, I'm not spending $600 a night (closer to $700 with taxes and fees) for Hershey.

:faint: Yikes! Hmmm. I wonder if they have discounted rates?

Thanks! :) The preview plan sounds good. I'm looking a few weekdays. It would be nice to have use of the water parks. Maybe early June is doable. I'll have to look at the calendar.

You guys have all been great. Thanks a million!

I quit entirely on Hershey maybe 3 years ago when I found it is just jam-packed 7 days per week in the summer. We might try to go in May when they open this year.

And you all need to SHUT UP about Knoebels. Seriously. Shut it.
;)

FYI if you go a few times a year you REALLY should look into getting season passes. (I think they are 150 a person now, cheaper before the new year, but at 30-40 a ticket with discount, it adds up fast) They well worth the money and include the seasonal things like Springtime, Halloween, Christmas, still the Zoo I think (?) and of course HP and the parking pass.pirate:
