This is the first album that I ever made. Lots of mistakes, but I learned a lot and with each hour of work, got more excited for our vacay.

For the cover, I replicated the way that the name of the ship is represented on the stern and used Sparkle Mod Podge to give it a little "pixie dust." The spine is embossed and also given a coat of Mod Podge (non sparkle!)

I needed somewhere to save our room keys after the cruise, so I used a double pocket for the inside front cover.

I wanted tags that could be given to the characters who will be on the ship. There are 32 tags in all, including some for the captain, our housekeeper, chef at Remy and our wait staff. There are 9 full pages. I haven't shown you all of them, but you'll gest the gist of what I've been playing with here. 'Course, I had to start with M&M Mouse!. The tags open for the character to sign. I still need to attach the pictures to the front of the tags and to black out each cut out Mickey shape on the tag.

Each page has a pocket and pages open up to a double photo page. Size will be just about right for 2 4x6 pictures.

I had fun designing something special for the Princesses. I am looking to put a little something representational into each tag. I also wanted to dress up the pages with their castles, and tried to emulate the ballrooms in Beauty and the Beast and Princess and the Frog. I used a glittery Koi fish and some bling for Mulan and Ariel.

Princesses are nice, but I really like the Pirate Pages and tags. I used some googly eyes for Hook's nemesis, and made a little clock which I placed on a Wobble. On the other page, you can't see it, but there is a pirate ship behind Smee and Jack Sparrow.

Here's Agrabah for Aladdin and Jasmine, and I thought that a Mickey hot air balloon would provide suitable transportation for Mary Poppins and the Genie.

I made a waterfall mini album for the back cover, so that I could get another 7 pages of photos into the album. There is now room for 24 large photos and some journalling space.

And finally, my favorite part of the album! I downloaded a picture of the Fantasy's stern, with her 3D Dumbo and Timothy. I layered various parts of Dumbo (3 times) so that he would be 3D as well. Used Mod Podge to make sure that he stays nice and strong, even that can of paint and the little paintbrush that Timothy Mouse is holding.

Like I said, this is my first album and I learned a LOT. Certainly not pro quality, but with each hour of work, I am feeling even more excited about our upcoming vacay! None of this would be possible without my FABULOUS MTC and my little Silhouette SD. If you're still reading and looking, thanks for hanging in there!

Beautiful album! I would love to know more about your base material and the binding you did with it.

The covers are made of an Omaha steaks box that I just cut.
The papers are mostly from an EK Success paper pack called Mickey Paper Pad and from the Gartner Cruise Collection stack. Purchesed the EK pad from Joann's; I think I got the Gartner stack (double sided papers) on a clearance at Michael's awhile back.
The pages themselves are made from Colorbok papers. They I cut a 12x12 in half. folded up about 1.75 inches and used the flange from the tear out to bind it to the covers using Terrifically Tacky tape. In the flange crease, I reinforced it with some scrap paper. If I had to do this all over again, I would use Laura Denison's "Stack the Deck" method (illustrated on her blog, Following the Paper Trail.) Much neater and preserves the spacing needed for the pages.
I downloaded clip art from the internet for the Disney characters on the tags. I used JPEG images to create the Dumbo for the back cover and created my own svg images with Make the Cut with these as well. Did the same for the Fantasy cover.
I also created my own tags using the basic shapes in MTC. The Mickey head on the tags is from a font called Mouse Tags that I downloaded from Dafont.com and tweaked with Make the Cut. Used Silhouette's Print and Cut feature to cut out the tag "covers" with the character pictures.

Other stuff is mostly from the Paper Dolls Dress Up cricut cart. The hot air balloon and chandelier are from Summer in Paris. I might have used Animal Kingdom for the crocodile

I used some rhinestones and ribbons that I had laying around and a few Prima flowers that were on sale. I think I have some Trendy Twine in there too. The clock is from a Tim Holtz stamp. I used several Action Wobble springs (just google this for their website; they also have a FB page.)
I used a Fiskars punch so I could thread ribbon on some of the pages, as well as a Martha Stewart punch for Belle and Tiana's page.
I inked the edges of the tags.
Used my Cuttlebug for embossing--I think I used Ironworks borders for some of these.
I'll probably still do a little more work on this--I see a need for some blingy Stickles!

Thanks, everyone, for your kind remarks to this "newbie" on your wonderful board.
