I actually thought that ALL migraines were like this until reading here recently. I'm glad that most migraine sufferers don't have such bad symptoms as we do... and hope that those of you who have not found relief can do so.
I STRONGLY suggest considering the impact of food additives on migraines. I know that there is a direct link between what I eat and the severity of a migraine. Triggers for me are certain colouring and flavouring, mostly in North American foods. I can't actually recall having a migraine in Europe in the last 15 years, but certainly recall many in North America.
I would avoid processed foods, or do what I did as an older teen. I spent almost an entire year only eating unprocessed food, and added back items slowly to see what would trigger a migraine and other health symptoms. Now I know what to avoid (much easier in Europe than it is in North America).
