Helping a newbie

i have a friend who hasn't been to WDW in over 20 years, so basically, almost everything about planning a trip is new. We live near Tampa and have APs, so the stuff that is critical for her are things we don't worry about. Everything we plan for her has to be right, since we don't know when, or if, she will get back again. Her husband will be with her, but he is really disinterested and is only tolerating this trip because it's her 65th Birthday and this is what she wanted. He already bought tickets- 4 day "magic" tickets, on the "there's only 4 parks why do we need more days" theory - even though they will be in Kissimmee for 9 days. So, what I am being allowed to advise her on I want to make sure I get right.

We want to take her to California Grill her first night to see the fireworks, but I don't know how to check for showtimes in June.

She wants to do her own FP- yeah, I know- but her phone is old and the app won't load. Can you make FP reservations on a computer?

Best advice you can give for this situation would also be greatly appreciated. I know there are more things I wanted to ask but insomnia and brain freeze are confusing me.

Wishes is at 9:00 pm in June, per the travel agent schedule.

FP+ can certainly be made using a computer. Just make sure your friend creates an MDE account and links their tickets. Are they staying offsite? If so, all 4 days will need to be made on a rolling basis. For example, today they'd be able to make FP+ reservations for 6/11, tomorrow for 6/12, etc.
