Ok here's my story. In April/may my fiance and I purchased weekday select Florida passholder tickets. (we are using the monthly payment plan, we pay $20/month for the two of us) Now we want to upgrade them to annual passes (also using the monthly plan $60ish/month for two) since we are stuck in block out dates and our family is going to Disney tomorrow. (sunday) the monthly passholder contact desk is closed until Monday. The only way to upgrade our passes would be to drive all the way to Orlando, this is fine, but I'd like to know what $$$ I'm looking at first. I'm not going to be thrilled if I get all the way there just to be told I need to pay $600 upfront on top of my monthly payments. No one at Disney has been able to give me a quote :'( all I want to know is when I arrive at guest relations and tell them I want to upgrade two passes to annual, how much will I be expected to fork over THAT DAY, as well as each month thereafter, keeping in mind that I DO NOT WANT TO PAY THE UPGRADE IN FULL, I WANT TO PAY IT MONTHLY. I already know the upgrade in full is an extra $600 but none of the employees can tell me what I'll pay via monthly plan. I have already paid my deposits ($106x2) for both tickets when I chose my weekday tickets. Please help! Thank u so much!

The cost of the FL resident weekday select is 233.54, a FL resident AP is 516.53. That's a difference of 282.99

Now you have to pay the difference in cash, you can't do it on a payment plan. I know this because we upgraded 2 years ago(from seasonal to AP). They told us it's because the payment plan is handled by an outside company. I know it stinks, but it's just the way it is. :( Hope that helps!!

So I'll be paying about $600 to upgrade. But you said I can do a payment plan. Great that is what I need to know do u remember about how much each payment will be??

I think she said you CAN'T do it on a payment plan, because it's handled by an outside company.

If you can, $282.99 X 2 upgrades would be $565.98

Divided by a 12 month payment plan would INCREASE your payments by $47.16

It's all done separate though with payment plans, so I think pp is right.

I don't work for Disney. You can't do a payment plan on an upgrade, you have to pay the difference in cash. I know this because we upgraded ourselves one time.

Sorry I misread. That can't be right. The employees said I could, they just didn't have any info other than it had to be done by guest relations. Of course that could be wrong too. Thanks!

If this is correct I am 100% ok with that. $50 extra a month I can handle. But $560 upfront seems a bit ridiculous. I can't imagine they would make it that difficult to upgrade considering the upgrade benefits the company.

I'm just speaking from my personal experience. Less then 2 years ago we did the same thing, only upgraded from Seasonal to regular AP. We were told we had to pay the upgrade difference in cash because the payment plan is handled by an outside company and it's considered a contract and can't be altered. Seemed crazy to us but they said it wasn't their rules. Now maybe it's changed, but just prepare yourself for them to tell you the same thing.

There are five threads OP started on same topic.

OP, sorry you don't want to accept the answer. It may not make sense to you because you are not familiar with all of the internal aspects of working with second/third party billing, but at least you can be aware before your arrival.

I don't think she started multiple threads because she didn't like the answers she was getting. If you look at the time stamps of the various threads, she started them one after the other. I think she just wanted more people to see the question than if she had just posted it once, although it doesn't explain why she posted it twice on the same board.

I don't think she did either as I can see the time difference between the posts. I separated the two topics in my post 1) how many posts 2) that I didn't think she liked her reply but at least she can be prepared in advance. I wasn't implying that she created multiple to try to get different answers.
