I auditioned = YO AUDICIONE

I would also suggest you buy 501 Spanish Verbs... extremely useful book and great for help with conjugating words. It helped get me through 2nd yr college spanish. That and a great dictionary will do wonders.

By the way, don't use google. It doesn't translate correctly. I did that once for a paper and then gave it to my DH to proof (he is full blooded mexican, and speaks fluent spanish)... he was laughing so hard by the end of it because it was SOOOO bad. It doesn't translate things anywhere near correct.

What dialect is this for? :confused3

Let me guess... this means "I speak Spanish fluently" ....

Thank you everyone for helping my dd and her friend out.

DD uses Babel Fish at times to see if she's even close when translating. I think I'll have her re-think that decision! This is their translation of PixieDust's response:

"This is the correct way to my way to speak and to write espanol, of as I is translated "auditioned", this speaking in maintained past, if outside in serious future time "I am going to audicionar", "I go to hearing" is not dialecto, is espanol. Disculpame if it does not explain to me well, but as I see that you know but espanol that I, because you I explain it in espanol. Also I can say "I went to hearing" of the two ways is correct. If it is not translated this way, then they excuse. Perhaps it was that you learned but espanol that I from septimo school degree that I who naci speaking espanol, then like traducirias your? That you have one pretty night."

LOL! :rotfl: Oh Boy!! She got close, but not correct. I guess you get the idea. Thanks.

Just to clarify - DD just did a copy & paste of your response & asked Babel Fish to translate it. (Because I'd told her that Google's translator had gotten some negative comments here.) She said it was easier to understand your Spanish response than Babel Fish's Spanish one! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
