We are new owners at SSR. We went last Jan for a week and loved the resort and the rooms. We are planning another trip for January and will likely be traveling with some family members. We are trying to decide where to stay. We have 4 kids (7,5,2 and 9 weeks as of July). We are considering BWV because our older ones love Epcot. The concern we heard about was the bus ride to MK. We were told there are many stops at other hotels and the ride is very long. My kids are not great on the bus. Have others experienced this issue? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks

Good question....when we stayed at BWV we would take different routes to MK. One was taking a casual walk through Epcot, hit the Figment ride and then take the monorail. The bus trip we found was fine time wise. Every now and again we would have to wait for the bus but once your on it goes pretty quik. On the way back we get off at the Swan/Dolphin and walk back....we found this to be a little quicker.

Don't forget that BCV has that great pool - Storm a long bay. But my kids still love shooting out the clowns mouth at BWV.

BWVs are really nice with kids of those varying ages. You have several different pool options and community hall which has a great deal of activities for the kids (of all ages) as well as the boardwalk activity itself. You can also walk to miniature golf courses from there.

The bus ride to MK is shared with the Swan and Dolphin. The bus will pick up at BW first, then over to the Swan, then over to the Dolphin and then over to MK. On the way back, you can get off at the Swan and walk back to the BWV is you're so inclined, as was previously mentioned.

VWL is closest to MK and is accessible by boat (but even the boat ride is shared with Fort Wilderness Campground).

What resorts were you considering besides BWV?

Thanks for both of your speady responses. My brother-in-law has only been to disney once (imagine that!), and they spent a lot of their time at MK. My 7 year old is now on her 6th trip and our 5 and 7 year olds love Epcot. We are leaning towards and thinking about BWV and BCV, but my brother-in-law wants us to consider VWL.

When are you planning on going in January? If it is early in the month, BWV get full because of the marathon.

We are going the week of MLK day, kids have off Mon and Tues. After all the discussions - we just confirmed BCV - the pool put the group into alignment.
Thanks
