We booked our hotel rooms at Sapphire Falls months ago for April 2026 arrival. Packages were not available at the time, but we booked the room only because the prices were so good. Booking now would cost an extra $1,600! My question is, how do I now go about purchasing a length-of-stay ticket? We are there for 14 days. Is it something I can just arrange at check in? Or is there a benefit to pre-paying now (if that's even an option).

There is no US based "length of stay" ticket. You can get an Annual Pass, or you can get the European 14day ticket.

The 14 day European tickets for 2026 include Epic. APs including Epic aren't offered yet.

There's no real benefit to booking a package at Universal. The hotel & tickets are not actually linked at all.

I’m assuming the European ticket won’t be offered to us, as Canadians? They do offer 14 day tickets to Canadians if I had booked a package… checked it out online today, now that packages are available.

My current booking for 14 nights is $3900. To book the same nights, room only now would be $5500. To book a package, including 14 day tickets would be $6045.

They don't offer them from the US / Canada websites/resellers. However, anyone can buy & use the European ticket, you just have to buy it from a European website or reseller (I haven't done this since I just get an AP, but there are many reports on DIS and elsewhere - same with the Disney 14 day tickets). Universal/Disney do not care what country you live in, anyone can use the European tickets at the gate. Just not as easy to access the EU websites & purchase if you are located elsewhere. Remember to use a credit card without foreign transaction fees, if possible.

In general I don't find the Universal package deals all that much of a deal - the rules for cancellation are also a lot more strict - I think its 30 days instead of 5 days..

I have had times when it saved my like $200 over booking a discounted rate and getting tickets - but in general I find it better to buy an AP and then book a room with the AP rate. Depending on the AP you also get food discounts.

BTW - Universal does sell a 14 day ticket with packages in the US - its the "All Parks Unlimited Ticket" for 2026 - so you can go to the parks for 14 consecutive days - including Epic and the water parks. I got this in the past and then upgraded it to an AP. Was a bit of hassle but did save me some money.

The one issue at this point that makes that difficult is the lack on clarity on APs and Epic for 2026 - and of course what will the AP cost.

Also - I don't see it yet for 2026 - but I see it for 2025 - you can book packages that include an AP - so you get the discounted AP rate and an AP ticket. I'm not sure its worth it - but something to be aware of I guess.
