Looking for Predictions on DVC Resorts between LSL and 2042

Agree. And there way more Star Wars fans than Villains fans. I do think the Star Wars hotel would have performed insanely well if it were just Star Wars themed and not the immersive experience that was insanely expensive.
Edit to add
I am actually very sad the Galactic Cruiser is not a place we can just book to stay. I would've paid a premium to stay there. But I am not huge on immersive experiences, I am super awkward and its gives me anxiety. So even if I were wealthy I wouldn't have booked it.

I was also no due to forced interactions ( character meals even are too much) I need my no excessive human interaction days.

I think a well themed moderate Star Wars hotel would have done better than a deluxe. Think AoA family suites but a killer pool. Entrance to HS would have sealed it. However it would have been a tear down and rebuild so that would not really have worked.

This, this, this. I am not even that introverted and I love Star Wars (booked a hotel night we didn't need at DLR to be able to get into SWGE the week it opened), but I very much didn't do starcruiser ONLY because I was anxious about having to cosplay and interact with strangers. Since I'm both the most extroverted and the biggest fan of SW in my family, I figured it was a waste of money and would be torture for everyone else.

Having the ability to wear a magic band or something similar that designated you as opting out of interactions would have been an instant book option for us...I actually was hoping to do it when my kids are the age they are now (after they got into star wars) if they wanted, but then POOF. We actually tried to get on one of the final voyages but there weren't any that worked with our dates. Not just running it as a moderate (but luxury priced) hotel for a few months to see how it worked out is a decision I'll never understand.
Right? So so crazy. It could be a gravy train for them, not sure how they dont get that. Instead lets put CM in there for work days

On Len Testa's podcast they said that there were surveyors spotted between the Grand Floridian and where they house the electrical water parade.

Here's hoping for that new DVC location with access to MK expansions!

With D23 expo about 6 weeks away I'm hoping we get some type of news about the future of resorts. There was a lot of info on parks and DCL expansion last year. At the very least we should get some renderings of what LSL will look like when complete.

I’m not against it, but seems like it would be crazy to start discussing a new DVC property with far superior location for MK right before trying to sell millions of points at LSL.

I think repurposing Yacht Club would scratch that itch and involve the least risk. It would also fill the void that is coming to the Crescent Lake area in 2042.
I used to think they would do something with at least part of Yacht Club and as YC being my favorite resort was really hoping they would. The best chance of it happening was coming out of COVID when the convention business was in the toilet. Now I don’t think there is any chance it will happen. If it was going to happen it would have happened by now because the location is the one they could make the most profit on.

The profits they make off conventions at YC must be huge.

It could still happen. Really just depends on how the hotel side does now that Epic is open and what they have in store for the EPCOT area after RIV sells out. If hotels aren't filling and they don't have another plan greenlit, I can still see it happening. That may just be me wanting to purchase there though 🤣
