Baically, you check in and then you can enter the lobby where you will meet Cinderella. Your family takes a picture with her and then you are either seated or called up to the main dining room. Upon being seated, your child gets a free souvenir wand or sword depending on boy or girl.
Once seated, your server come over for your order. Sometime during your meal, you'll get your pictures that you took in the lobby at no extra charge. Last December, at dinner, the fairy godmother came out as did the 2 mice.
They are NOT allowed to do meet and greets or sign any autographs.
The fairygodmother does a small show where she will point out tables who are celebrating a special occassion such as a birthday or anniversary and she may briefly visit those tables. The mice just walk around the dining room, but they don't stop and if they do, its just to wave.
Then they leave.
There are no princesses present during the meal. As the previous poster reported, you'll need breakfast or lunch for princesses, but it may be too late to get a reservation for those meals.
In my opinion, I really enjoyed the dinner. Food was great (we got the prime rib), service was excellent, my DD got a toy wand, we got pics included with the meal and you get to meet Cinderella anyway. Also, you can't beat that wonderful atmosphere of being inside the castle. I'd stick with it.
