Looking to book our next holiday for next January and we normally go with Travel City Direct in their Sunshine First cabin but this year they are the dearest of everyone, without upgrades!!!

The best quotes I have are with Virgin and First Choice. The quote for Virgin is in their standard cabin and the quote with 1st choice is in their upgraded premier service, which we have been in before.

We have never flown with Virgin as they are normally too expensive but believe that the normal cabin is as good as some companies upgraded service.

If you had to pick between Virgin (no upgrades) or 1st choice in their Premier cabin, which one is best?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Hello

I have only ever been with virgin and I can say that they are fantastic, so I would def consider flying with them.

I would fly Virgin as the service is great, plus there is the bonus of early check in at Down Town Disney. :)

We always choose VA because:

1 DTD check-in - that alone is worth it in my opinion.
2 They fly to MCO.
3 As we try and fly at least PE, we are able to request the upper deck which is nice and quiet.

Given your choice, even though you'd be flying Economy, personally, I'd still go with VA, but only you can decide if you're happy with the seat pitch. If you do choose VA, try and request the seats at the back where they are 2-4-2 at least you have a little more room there.

We generally fly Virgin economy. we just got home on Sunday from our first trip using First Choice Premier cabin.

The comfort was great as was the service, check in was easy too (Special desk for star class premier)

However we will return to Virgin next time because:

-we had a 2-3 hour delay both ways with FC
-the baggage allowance is less with FC
-we did not like Sanford airport. It took 3 hours to get through the airport upon arrival,. The Dollar rent a car desk was a joke (has been each time we have tried Sanford) Immigration took 90 mins. We were unlucky to arrive at the same time as several other flights so the place was heaving.
-Sanford is further from WDW
-We used the Sanford Guesthouse on the way home, glad we did because the main terminal was mobbed, people laying on floor etc. As we had a 3 hour delay we were lucky we did not have to experience that beacause we sat in the Guesthouse.
-We missed Virgin's DTD check in and the online check in we usually do at home before out bound journey.

The staff on First Choice were great, the food was good and it was comfortable. The delays were annoying and Sanford was a zoo. Maybe we were unlucky, glad we tried it but back to Virgin and Orlando International airport next time.

I have heard really positive things about First Choice's enhanced service, so I would go for that. I have travelled VA several times before and think it's good but have heard from several different sources that FC Premium (or whatever it is called) is really good :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your comments.

We have booked with Virgin for the 27/1/07 for 2 weeks with a hotel for the bargain (we think so) price of £1,002.00!

CAN'T WAIT!!!!
