Help - Top 10 things to eat at US/IOA - particularily desserts

Hi everyone,

So Disney has top 10 lists with things like Dole Whips, Funnel cakes, Zebra Domes, school bread, kitchen sink dessert to name a few.

I'm going next Sunday and wondered if either Universal or Islands of Adventure have anything special at counter services etc that are 'must try'.
I know about Butterbeer in HP wizarding world area, but that's about it.
Particularly desserts, as I have a sweet tooth, lol.

I've looked through the forum for a top 10, and googled but there doesn't seem to be much information (compared to Disney lists) about this.

I'm doing IOA in Universal in the same day (I know, but I don't like rollercoasters etc so it makes it a bit easier), so will mainly be using counter services/snack booths etc.

I highly recommend the Cauldron Cakes at HoneyDukes in WWOHP. Chocolate Perfection!

My one thing is butterbeer, but you already know that! We also love the cauldron cakes. The breakfast croissants at Boulangerie are always a must for us too. They have lots of yummy sweets in there.

Without a doubt....warm gooey chocolate banana cake topped with PB ice cream at Mythos. It's worth going to Mythos just for that!!!

In case you decide to go to a restaurant in CityWalk (which I would totally recommend), I'd suggest Margaritaville or Hard Rock Cafe. Both are attractions within themselves; Margaritaville sometimes has a live musician on the patio and there's always fun things going on inside, and Hard Rock has awesome memorabilia. At Margaritaville, the Volcano Nachos ($10 or more if you add meat) is easily enough food to be a meal for a few people. At Hard Rock, my friend said that the Honey-Citrus Grilled Chicken Salad was one of the best he's ever had (and he's a foodie!). The California Chicken Club Sandwich and Twisted Mac and Cheese are great, too.

If you end up at Universal for dinner, I'd recommend Finnegan's which has good food for only a few dollars more than quick-service, and it is totally worth it. You get free Soda Bread and Apple Butter- really, really good!!

As for sweets, I'm a fan of churros, Cinnabon, Butterbeer, cauldron cakes, and possibly my favorite: Strawberry and Peanut Butter ice cream at The Three Broomsticks

Another vote for Finnegan's - love that bread and apple butter. Also their Onion Webb with malted vinegar is so good!

There is a gelato stand inside of Louie's restaurant that I love. I've tried a few flavors and they've all been amazing.

-The loaded funnel cakes.
-Cauldron cakes at Honeydukes
-The peanut butter diamond. If you can find these, they are large, rectangular-ish desserts that are chocolate covered with a little diamond on top. The filling is this peanut butter goodness. So tasty.
-pear cider at the three broomsticks

I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I do enjoy a Grande Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks on a hot day.

Two sweets we try to get every trip:

1. The soft ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, and swirl) at Cathy's Ice Cream stand in the Toontown island at IOA.
2. Malts, shakes and sundaes at Schwab's Pharmacy at US.
