welcome to the high tech world we never new as teenagers.
It's Hell welcome.
I have a 13 (almost 14 dd) and a 14 amost 15 ds.
I have to say thank God for two computers.
The IMing is a whole other world in itself.
The text messaging is another big thing they do. Try not to go crazy.
Good luck, and pray a lot, thats the only advice I can offer.

My DD is 16 and my DS is 15 so welcome to my world :)

I've learned how to text message and IM. I've learned lots of abbreviations and symbols although my kids can text and IM so much faster than I can. But, hey, I can type faster than they can :cool1:

If you can get past the eye rolling and the "Mom, you ask too many questions." it is a fun age

ok but why do they have to be on the phone until 12 am! I limied it until 11, thank god, do you want to see a nursing sudent with lack of sleep taking care of you??? I think not! Its only for the summer, its only for the summer! They are leaving some day! LOL

Tell them to take the phone in a closet or something if it's keeping you awake. That's what we had to do as kids (of course, we had to make sure the cord stretched far enough!)

I'm a teenager, I bought my own computer so my parents weren't constantly telling me to get off of it. When I get on the phone late night, my mom has a timer, and when it goes off, I have to get off or no computer.

Not all teenagers are bad, ;).

thanks for your input its nice to hear from someone their age, and they arent bad kids, their mother is just too upset to take care of them properly. thanks again,

Well that does not sound good. It is hard enough to care for teens when things are stable.

I guess I would say to you to try and be a good aunt. Leave them with a loving, caring impression of you.

I have done the living with parents along with sibs & spouses. Let me tell you....in that short of time you can make or break your relationships.

As long as they are not doing anything illegal or immoral I wouldn't worry. As far as the "annoying part", well, it is to be expected and in this case you will get double due to circumstances out of their control.
