We love the BWV and have stayed there as a visitor not a DVC member, but am thinking about signing up for the DVC, but not sure.... :confused3
We live in CA, so don't get out to WDW as much as I would like (it's been 5 years since our last and upcoming visit), so not sure if it would be worth it. Also, wandering if DVC has properties outside of FL, that maybe I could get my money's worth. If so, what other vacation locations have you used through DVC. Any comments and info?

I'd have to say that if you're going to use your points mostly at non DVC reasorts or won't be going to WDW at leat every 2 years. It's probably not for you. Don't give up hope, though. There's supposed to be a big announcement (this week I think) in conjunction with DL's celebration adn DVC. Rumor has it that we may get a DVC at DL. That might help you. This is prely rumor, though. Please don't hold me to it.

In general, DVC makes financial sense for those who go to WDW at least every other year and stay in moderate or deluxe on site resorts when they do. It works best for those who also can plan at least 10 to 11 months in advance.

If that doesn't describe your family, you will almost certainly be better off financially if you choose a less expensive timeshare. The best value of DVC points is using them to stay at a DVC resort.

Best wishes-

It would be great to have a DVC property in California. It's the one thing that is missing. I know they will start selling DVC on Disney property in California, but that's not the same thing as having a location there.

Maybe you should wait a little, until an announcement has been made?

Thanks for the responses and great info...I didn't realize that they were considering DL for DVC....so, there's hope! I'd love to be able to go to WDW every 2 years! (I'm secretly hoping that I can talk my DH into renewing our vows there next year for our 21st. Too soon for this year's 20th). So, I was thinking as a DVC, it would be valuable to have, IF by some slim chance that it happens.... :goodvibes

Can't wait for announcement regarding DL! We usually do DL yearly, since we're within a 6 hr driving range.
