We just booked our trip a few days ago, arriving next week!

Since the last time I went to Disney, over 15 years ago, many things have changed, including the size and layout of the parks.

With such short planning, the biggest stress is meals and transportation for breakfast. We're on the Deluxe dining plan, and like TS breakfast and dinner. We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

My questions are, am I going to regret any of these choices, and/or is transportation going to take too long to get there.

Day 1
Breakfast @ Hotel
Park: Animal Kingdom
Dinner 4:45 @ Boma's

Day 2
Park: MK
Breakfast @ 7:40 AM at Ohana's. What's the transportation to get there from POR?
Dinner @ the Plaza at 6:20 PM.

Day 3
Park: Epcot
Breakfast: Cape May @ 7:35 AM. Again, what's the transportation like to get there from POR?
Dinner @ Chefs de France @ 5:10 PM.

Any comments good or bad about location, transportation and times?

I think they are all great except for Boma, we did not like dinner there.

For your early ressies I would not rely on Dis transportation, take a cab instead

We did not like Boma's but your other ADR's are great! 'Ohana's is one of my favorite places to eat in WDW (as well as Chefs). I would definitely drive/take a cab to the other resorts. If Animal Kingdom park is closed when you're dinner at Boma's is over you'll have to go to DTD and transfer by bus or boat to POR, which could take an hour to an hour and a half total.

If you don't drive in the morning to either of those resorts you will have to take a bus to DTD or a park and transfer to a bus to that resort. Usually takes 45 min - 1 hour and a half. Most of my transfers average about an hour. Also, I'm not sure if there'll be busses running at 6:30 a.m.

This is good but I would not choose this for dinner more for lunch in my opinion

Those of you that didn't like Boma's, what was it that you didn't like?

Fortunately, for my 4:45 reservation at Boma's the park is open until 8 that night.

You all have me reconsidering the early morning reservations. Any idea how much a cab costs?

I think I heard $11.00. Not sure since we always have our Van.

I thought the atmosphere of Boma's was nice. I love trying new foods but I really didn't find much I liked here. Many of the dishes had peanuts or a peanut sauce in them. I love peanuts (all nuts really :)) but not in savory types of foods. Once I had a few peanut dishes it was all I could taste. I also tried all of the soups and didn't like any of them. I ended up eating food off of the kid's buffet and eating dessert. I do recommend trying it at least once. There's a lot of places I love that other people are not a fan of.

I think cab rides are between $10-20 around WDW depending on where you are going (your ride to Cape May will be cheaper than 'Ohanas as it's closer).

This is the great thing about opinions...I loved Boma. I am an adventurous eater and like lots of veggies and sides. There were plenty of options there. Dh, on the other hand, is not so adventurous but found lots to eat-different kinds of meat, mainly. We booth loved the dessert and atomosphere, though. I think it is a good choice. Give it a try!

At Bomas, the soups are different on different days of the week. Mon and Thur are the best soup day in my opinion. They have a Seafood Gumbo that is to die for. It is the best I have ever eaten. The last time I went it was on Sun, I asked the server about this, my next trip is for Monday. The day of the week does make a big difference with Bomas. It is a must do for us!

There are busses for the breakfasts. The one for Ohana will also cover Crystal Palace and I would guess the Cape May tags with H&V. Concierge at your resort can help with that. We always do a character breakfast and never have a problem. Have fun. BTW, the only cab we ever took was from WL to ASMu and cost $15.50.
