Help! Promos are overlapping my dates

Just want to make sure I'm getting the best deal.

Booked through AAA
8/9-8/18
Moderate resort
30% room discount instead of AAA normal discount

Now FD comes out from 8/15 on

do I also qualify for that, too? Or is it one (room discount) or the other? I'm not sure because my dates are overlapping with the 2 deals.

You can only use one discount at a time. It probably won't make sense for you to switch to FD on 8/15 since you will be required to buy a 2 day base ticket for everyone in your party to get the FD.

My next question was because I will be there prior to the FD on 8/15, would all of my days there be covered for FD staring on 8/9 or would it only start on 8/15?

Otherwise, I'm thinking the room discount is the better deal because that will cover 8/9 - 8/14 - 6 days.

Our trip also spans two promotions. I spent a lot of time crunching the numbers and called just to confirm that I wasn't overlooking something. The CM explained that if FD starts during the trip, it applies going forward but not backward to cover the days of your trip before FD is offered. But you might want to call when you have a few minutes just to put your mind at ease.

nope.. you would have to check out/back in and start a new reservation for 8/15 starting over with a 2 day base ticket for all of you. Can you switch your dates? Not sure when you are staying but at a moderate for example and your family you would be saving $168 with the Dinning plan. If your at a value you would be the quick service.

We are staying at a moderate and dates can't change. I'm happy with the room discount, believe me, and in my gut, I knew from reading prior posts over the years, that you probably could not have the FD applied to the start of your trip. I really just needed reassurance that I was not overlooking something.
