Help Please!Off Site Hotels Closest to Wide World of Sports

My niece is playing in a college softball tourny 3/10-14 at the Wide World of Sports. Of the numerous times that we have visited WDW, we have never been to the WWS and I am trying to figure out the most convenient area for off site lodging. DH and I are flying down and staying in a Studio DVC. My parents are being driven up from Bradenton by an 86 year old friend who is comfortable driving but prefers to limit the driving once he has reached WDW. They need a place to stay for one night on 3/11. I forgot to mention that my parents are very frugal and apparently their friend is even more frurgal staying on site is not an option as the least expensive room is $131 for preferred at a value. Any suggestions for a place to stay close to the WWS for under $100. Oh, and my father would like a continental breakfast if possible. I checked the Comfort Inn at LBV but 3/11 is a black out date and I am not sure that is a convenient drive to WWS. I'm thinking somewhere along 192 as they will be coming from Bradenton/Tampa area.

PS - I tried to get them a separate studio with DVC but none are available!

they will have to drive to WWoS. there is no choice. Offsite buses don't go there unless they are bringing kids who play there.

expect to pay more for breakfast included. the time you are going is Spring Break - no time is more crowded at WDW expect Christmas to Ny.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am currently on the waiting list for a DVC studio but like you said, it is start of spring break so I am not hopeful. I know staying off site that they would have to drive to WWS. I just want to get them as close as possible so the driving is limited. I want limit their traffic as much as possible.
Thanks again! I will book one of these rooms on your recommendation as I trust your judgment based on your posts I have read on this board.

Quality Inn has direct excess (behind it) to Black Lake ROad - (turn right out of the resort) - which goes to Sherberth road (back road) (turn left) - this road is curvely and lots of accident - so tell them to be carefully.

at the traffic light turn right - shortly they will be on Osceola Parkway - which is where WWoS is located.

Going the other direction on Osceola you have Gaylord Palms (too much I'm sure), but past there you have the Country Inn & Suites and Amerisuites at Calypso Cay.
