I have a standard room booked. When checking in online, I'm not sure what to select to try to get a lake view room, close to the Hippy Dippy Pool. I can select 2 of the following:

Ground Floor
Second Floor
Fourth Floor - select
Highest Floor
Upper Floor
Lake View
Landscape View
Lower Floor
Near Elevator
Near Transporation
50s Section
60s Section - select?
70s Section
80s Section
90s Section

I would like 4th floor if possible so I figured I should choose either 4th floor or highest floor (the buildings are 4 stories tall, correct?) But am I better off selecting 50s, 60s, 70s, or lake view? I'm confused as to what my best option would be...help please :)

well if you want the hippie dippy pool then you'll want to request the 60's since thats where it is.
since you are in a standard room its likely that you'd get lake view vs pool view.
if the 4th floor is a top priority i'd do the 60's and 4th floor and then just hope they put you lake view.
if they don't pu8t your lake view you can always ask if they have that available when you get there.

i'm going in just under 4 weeks and i am in a standard room.
being in the 50's section is my top priority so thats the only thing i chose.
i also requested it when i booked so they do have it on file twice so hopefully they will accommodate me.

60's, Lake View

I used to always call and have it added to my reservation. The last two times I did I got the complete opposite I asked for. The last few times I have done the online check in and got exactly what I asked for.

Will I get the same thing if I say 60's, 4th floor? Or Lake View, 4th floor? I'm afraid if I just say 60's and Lake view I'll end up on ground floor or 2nd floor, which we'd prefer not to have

Which is why I prefer to call. With online check in the options are predetermined and if they don't meet what you're looking for you're left wondering and worrying like you are now. If you call you can add 60's, 4th floor with lake view. I know from talking to a couple room assigners they treat requests made via online check and those noted on your reservation by calling exactly the same.

I just tried to call, they won't let me do anything since I booked through an agent. They said they can see I have a reservation there, but can't open it to view it, they can't even see what my current selections are! I'll email my agent to have him put the request in, but this is frustrating. I won't use an agent again, this is the 2nd time I haven't been able to make a simple room request myself because I booked through an agent.

I understand the frustration. That's is the #1 reason I book myself, made that mistake once.

Online only allows for two items to be requested.
I did not request a floor but got the top floor, which would have been my third choice. I put in 50's, Lake View. I like 50's because my DS like the bowling pin pool and I like being close to my car (I bring too much stuff).

If you put Lake View 4th Floor, you could be in 50's, 60's or 70's. None of them are a far walk to the main hub or main pool. The are all great buildings.

If you put 60's, 4th Floor, because you are paying for standard, odds are you will get a Lake View room. Look at this map. The only difference I know of now is some of those standard rooms facing pools are called Standard Pool View. But 60's has no Standards facing pool.

You can always check in at the front desk if you want the option to try to move your room. I have not been successful in getting moved so it depends on their occupancy.

Yes, if I remember right when we booked, we could choose between standard and standard pool view - which was a tad more expensive. We went with standard.

Request 60's fourth floor. All the standard rooms are Lakeview in the 60's anyways.

This is what I've selected, 60s 4th floor.

Thanks for the help here. I figure as long as I'm in 50s 60s or 70s on 4th floor I should be happy, I'd prefer a lake view, but if we don't get it, we'll survive.
