After reading about everyone eles DL weddings and seeing the wonderful photos you have to treasure we to have decided to join you all by having a DL wedding of our own. we have decided on the wedding pallivion but not to sure where to have the reception yet does anyone have any ideas. also to those of you who travelled from the uk, we are planning on havin 30 or so guests, did anyone find this difficult didi any problems arise.also we will be working to a tight budget so if any one has surgestions as to keep costs down i would be grateful of any tips, thanx for any help given very much appriated.:wave2:

Are you planning a Disneyland (DL) wedding or a Walt Disney World (WDW) wedding?

The Wedding Pavillion is only located at WDW, and you mentioned DL, so I wanted to ensure you knew DL does NOT have a wedding Pavillion. They have several locations to get married, all beautiful, but no WP.

Just to clarify for you Sarah Louise as a lot of UK residents get these two confused - Disneyland is in California and is the first park that Walt Disney opened and Walt Disney World is located in Florida :)

Now onto the question in hand - we arranged a wedding at WDW and were hoping for about 50 guests we invited about 30 from the UK but to be honest a lot of them didn't want to come not because they didn't want to see us get wed but because we were dictating to them where they use their holiday allowances and they thought it would be expensive. We would have expected everyone to come out for a week minimum.

We ended up having both our brothers and their families who came for a fortnight each and made it their annual holiday neither had been before and are now both looking forward to the next time they go.

Then we had 2 sets of friends who came but both couples are big Disney fans anyway so it wasn't hard for them to commit.

So all in all we had 11 guests from the UK with the rest of our 40 guests made up from friends from the US, Canada, Brazil and Holland all of whom are big Disney fans so they were all delighted to be dictated to when to take their vacation :)
