We are planning a surprise trip to WDW the end of July for our 3 kids ages 2, 4, and 5!!!! I want to make a gift bag or something for each child with a Tshirt and Sports bottle they can use for their drinks at the parks (spill proof lol) and i want to make a "welcome letter" from Mickey and gang What else can i do or put in the bags? OR do u have any other ideas of what i can do?? I just want it to be as magical as possible. ANY IDEAS OR HELP WILL BE AWSOME!!!! Thanks so much :cool1:

Check out this thread as it has a lot of great ideas that you could incorporate into your surprise:

You also might find some things in the "what do you make thread":

I'm not sure when you are going to surprise them, but if it isn't the day of...you could make Mel's (Bababear's) countdown chains.

A fun idea is to get a box and wrap it with a disney wrapping paper (or a solid color with a coordinating ribbon like red and yellow for the colors that Mickey wears) and put helium balloons inside of the box so that when the kids open it the balloons float out like in the commercials. Then you could attach the letter to the bottom of the string on the balloon. Just make sure they are indoors if you do this...otherwise, the balloons will float away! Then you could put a countdown chain inside of the box that you can hang up in the house to count down the remaining days.

Go to the Dollar Tree as they have tons of great Disney things like activity/coloring books, disney crayons, markers, pencils, figurines, night lights, etc. that you could add to their gifts.

I also love giving everything in a backpack so that they can use it for their trip to store things in and to keep them occupied in the car/plane.

Check out my 4shared file as I have travel games that you could make to keep them occupied. You will want to laminate them and use dry erase markers so that you can use them over and over. Here is a thread that better explains them and has lots of travel ideas:

Make an autograph book and an epcot passport for each child for their gift. Natalie (Donatalie) has great ones in her 4shared file. There are links to her things in the "what do you make thread".

That should give you some ideas and keep you busy. Hope your trip is magical!

OMG those are some great ideas already lolol keep em coming guys.....I love the balloon idea but we will be driving down 16hrs from st louis area so the balloons won't make it lolol. We plan on NOT telling them until we get there. We take A LOT of road trips so just telling the kids we are off on another road trip will be no big deal to them. I figure they will figure it out about the time we get in orlando and they see all the WDW billboards. Ifr not then, it will be when we pull on to disney prop to go to the resort lolol since they are only 2, 4, and 5 they can't read yet so this helps lolololol

We all take our pillows with us when we travel. You could make a pillow case for each of them, using the designs you can find here, and put them on when you get to the resort. You can also get each a stuffed animal (Disney of course :goodvibes) for their beds.

I have tons of letters from the characters you could use.
They are in my siggy.

I made pillowcases. Our Dollar Store had tons of stuff. I got Nemo, Tink and Cars flashlights on lanyards to wear around their necks at nite. New Beach Towels. I made matching card games with favorite characters for times when we are in the room and they need to be occupied. I also made the little gift cards (Maybe Natalie, or Dolly???) Leave the kids treats from Tink at night. They had lots to choose from.....it was under gift tags in the shared folder.

I made custom placemats for each kids and laminated them. I laminated all my decorations and didn't put the year on any of them so I can use them over and over.

My family thinks I have gone off my Disney rocker!!!! We did room decorations and door decorations. I still need to go by Home Depot and get some Mickey heads.

Hope this helps.
