We have reservations for 2 rooms the radison but after reading the reports I want to cancel that. I Just called the Hyatt in the airport and lowest price I can get is $179 and it's only 2 double beds. We leave at 10 in the morning after FTP and am looking for at least 2 queens or a small suite thats nice (not fancy or too expensive) near the airport. We have a long flight so we need to get a decent breakfast before we leave (have a van).

Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

I saw what I am pretty sure is the Sheraton Suites on Hotwire for $40(for 10/24 date).

You can look at betterbidding.com or biddingfortravel.com to try to figure out what the hotel is.

At least on Hotwire, they put an "S" for a suite, so you can assume you are getting a bigger room.

Why did you cancel the Radisson?

I also saw the Embassy suites for around $80-90 with AAA

sln88, I didn't cancel yet, but am will if I can find something better close to the airport. I read on several posts and on a rating board for hotels that during recent stays the rooms were dirty, had a bad smell, and bugs. I did read the pool & ameneties were nice but we're basically looking for just a clean place to sleep for our last night.

The Embassy Suites by the airport has a special going until mid December (something to do with Scoobey-Doo, can't remember the exact name)...suites have 2 doubles and a sofa bed...including tax it was under $100/night and that included a full breakfast for all.
You can also try Priceline...the 3*'s by the airport are either the Marriot, Rennaissance, Holiday Inn Select or Sheraton Suites. They are going for $36 to $40/room/night...at that price you could get 2 rooms. Occasionally they also book at the Hyatt in the airport, but not too often. Right now most people seem to be getting the Holiday Inn Select or the Renaissence (for dates in Oct and Nov. We got HI for our mid-November date). We have stayed at both and they are very nice (not resort spectacular, but very clean, nice sized rooms, comfortable, etc). All of the Priceline 3* have free airport shuttles if that will be any help to you (I have been known to return the rental car that night and use the shuttle back to the hotel to save a day of car rental...if we were staying longer than a week and paying for extra days)
Any of the Priceline 3*'s by the airport are MUCH nicer than the Radisson on Palm Pkwy IMHO)

Hercamore,
Thank you. I made a reservation at Hawthorne Suites for $69 and it includes hot breakfast.

I tried to get the Embassy Suites Scooby Fall special, but it's only Thur - Sun and we needed a Tue night.

Thanks everyone!

Good tazz.

I have not been to that Hawthorn, but the Hawthorns in MN are really nice.

Give us a review later.

We stayed at the Sheridan Airport Suites rooms small, still clean with a king/two beds in one room & a pullout queen sofa bed in the other room. Pool is an indoor/outdoor pool kids loved it. Would stay here again.
