HELP need advice on resale or disney direct

HELP Here is my quandary: Do I pay $15000 for 150 points at Sartoga Springs to go longer or buy resale and pay about 12000 for 150 points? If I buy resale is there any big deal about which resort to go with??? I know about the 11 month reservation perk with the home resort but is that is??? Why are HH and VB so cheap. Are their point worth the same as the other resorts?? WE are meeting with Disney in one weeks for a final tour/question & answer "thing" before we try to make a finald decision. If you go through the resale how scarey is the ROFR?? What is the lowest $ per point that usually get approved???[/B]

In general, a DVC point is a point as far as how many it takes to make a reservation at a DVC resort. So if you want to reserve at BWV, it takes the same number of points regardless of whether you own there or elsewhere.

Sounds like you are familiar with the 11/7 month booking advantage at a home resort.

Keep in mind that annual dues are really the biggest part of your contract. So saving on a number of dollars per point up front might result in higher dues.

If you think you won't be planning at least 7 months in advance for most trips, I'd advise buying OKW for the combination of low price/low annual dues. If you want the extra 12 years, then SSR is the way to go and it still has the low dues currently.
