HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Summer vacation 2012,
Key West, WDW, back to back cruises on the Disney DREAM, and another week at WDW.

Day 7:
Getting back to WDW

I am sure we will be up early today

DSC_0033.jpg

as we are heading to Walt Disney World and checking into the Contemporary Resort!

We will head to the Sandbar Grille for breakfast,

sbgrill.jpg

sbgrill1.jpg

before we load up the car again and get on the road again. It will take us about 4 hours to drive to Orlando and once we arrive

IMG_2438.jpg

we will head straight to the Contemporary Resort.

IMG_3793.jpg

After we have dropped off our luggage and parked the car we will then head towards the Concierge desk to check in. Since I guess that our room will not be ready by the time we arrive we will then just head to the Contempo Café for some lunch

IMG_3785.jpg

and a Mickey bar.

IMG_3934.jpg

Our next stop will be the shops in the resort

DSC_0411.jpg

and if there is time left we will head over to the Magic Kingdom. No need to use the Monorail, we just love the fact that we can just walk over there.

I guess around 4pm we will be able to finally get to our room,

crcl.jpg

crcl1.jpg

have our luggage delivered and rest for a while. At 6pm we will head to the California Grill for dinner to kick off the Disney part of our vacation.

This time we won’t stay around for the fireworks, since we have a Magic Kingdom view room booked, we will have a seat on our balcony and enjoy Wishes from there.

After the fireworks we will head over to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours until 1am. For the first part of the EMHs we will just stroll through the park as it will still be pretty packed. I guess that around midnight the crowds will thin out and we will be able to fit in a few rides.

I really hope we will make it until 1 am, then walk back to the Contemporary and head up to our room where we intend to have a night cup before trying out the new beds.

Sounds like you have a great arrival day at WDW planned Karin. We don't arrive until the 24th so please make sure you leave some Mickey bars for us :thumbsup2

We have always wanted to stay at the Contemporary with a MK view and we both cannot wait to get there. :goodvibes
So why not start our WDW portion off with a bang and have a CG dinner. ;)

We will leave for the Disney DREAM on the 24th, so there won't be any competition for you on the subject of Mickey bars. :rotfl2:

I am so happy to hear that you enjoy reading my TRs! :goodvibes
If you ever have the chance to go to Key West, please do so, it is a truely heavenly place. So relaxed and laid back - just the perfect start to a vacation. :cloud9:

I would be glad to help you as much as I can, Rosie. Only downside - I have yet to find a cheap hotel at Fort Lauderdale. :rotfl2:
We love to stay oceanside/oceanfront, so I guess these hotels are always a bit more expensive, but the ones we have stayed at so far were far more expensive than similar hotels in Miami.

A co worker gave her that tid bit of info so long before then I will check the prices and let her know she is WRONG!!!!!!:rotfl2:

We are going to make Key West a definate goal this winter! That key lime pie on a stick looks so tasty!! I've been missing in action for awhile. Emergency hospital stay & storm damaged house, plus no power during a heat wave. All this in the past weeek! :scared:

Hi Wicket's Mom, we experienced the same storm, we lost a screened gazebo in our back yard. Our power was out for 22 hours. Some people are just getting power.

First off, I apologize for neglecting this thread for over a week, but the end of the school year was VERY stressful and I just didn't have time left to update.
But now that I am officially on our summer break (9 weeks of pupilfree blizz) this is going to change.
I need to make a few changes to our pre-cruise and post-cruise plans but as soon as I have figured it out I will post an update or two. :thumbsup2

A co worker gave her that tid bit of info so long before then I will check the prices and let her know she is WRONG!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Let me know what you find out, Rosie. When we first went to Florida, a night at FL was the most expensive night in the whole trip! :rotfl2:
But I am sure you will be able to find cheaper lodging if you look for it! :goodvibes

I found the rides were walk on after 12 midnight when I did the eving extra hours !!

The last two hours of EMHs are always the best. We actually have been "asked" to stay seated on BTMR towards the end of EMHs. Nothing better than getting on a ride without a line. :thumbsup2

You really need to visit Key West, Doris! It is such a wonderful and relaxed place and that Key Lime Pie on a stick is pretty yummy - it is just VERY messy to eat. ;)
I read about all that happened to you on your thread and I hope you feel much better now and that you will be back to "old tricks" VERY soon.

Yikes! I read about the power outage, but I did not know it affected you. Hope everything is alright again! Can't wait to see again in just a few weeks time. :goodvibes

We are fine here just very hot. It was 106 in the shade here yesterday! We haven't had a heat wave like this in a long time! Several days above 100 degrees Mick said it feels like Florida so he's not complaining. The storm we had last Friday was scary. Sounds like we faired better than Wicket's Mom. We didn't get the hail at our house during the second storm but just a few miles from us they got baseball size hail! It is just 60 days till we see you and Tom again! We can't wait.:) I had 5 days off work but we stayed around home due to the heatwave. See you soon, it will be here before we know! And sooner for you since you leave for Florida next month!:cool1:

Hey Karin :goodvibes

Just caught up with your August plans

Wow, you and Tom certainly know how to vacation in style :cool1:

Really looking forward to hearing all about it, oh and so cool that you are meeting Joh in Key West .......... It's a small world after all :rotfl:

I have plenty of time to check out FL as it is not till 2014, we are looking forward to our long weekend in Erie pa. the end of this month!!!!!

We had a heat wave here too - FAR too hot for our area and it was the last week of school. Many of our last week projects were indoors and there is NO A/C at our school. :scared1:
Thank god our thunderstorms were not as severe as yours - that hail storm you described sounds horrible!!!!!!

I cannot believe it is only 60 days until we will see you! We both actually cannot wait - and since you so nicely sat through the DVC presentation with us last year you will have to check out what we got ourselves into and visit us at OKW. ;)
I am on summer vacation as of the past weekend and I cannot believe it is actually here and we will leave Austria in a little over 4 weeks. :woohoo:

omg I loved your pics of dlrp

And I am glad you enjoyed them! :thumbsup2

Glad you came over to check in on us, Linda. :goodvibes

I could not believe that we would be able to meet Joh and her family in Key West of all places! :rotfl2: And I cannot wait for it to happen.
We have been longing to go back to Key West for quite some time and I guess we will take it very easy and just go with the flow there. ;) :lmao:

I hope you do a TR on your family trip as well. And I hope there will be a lot of poles for you to dance at! :rotfl2:

:yay: I'm all caught up. Key West looks so pretty and relaxing.

I am glad you were able to catch up - I intend on doing some more updates pretty soon - I have a lot of days left to plan and we leave in a little over 4 weeks. :rotfl2:

I plan to do a short report on Erie, as for pole dancing NO ONE will take a pix , they are such Party poopers !!!:lmao:

I've been neglectful too. I feel guilty...but sometimes life just gets in the way. :thumbsup2

No fair that no one will take photos of you pole dancing - can we bribe Judy? ;) :rotfl2:

Tell me about life getting in the way - but it should get better soon (at least for me ;) :lmao:).

Day 8:
WDW

Having gotten to bed pretty late we will probably sleep in a litte, and once we are up we will get ourselves ready and have a few breakfast bites at the Concierge Lounge.

It would be a shame NOT to make the close proximity to the Magic Kingdom the deciding factor of which park to go to during our brief stay at the Contemporary, so we will head right over to the Magic Kingdom again.

IMG_0425.jpg

This time I hope that we get to fit in a few rides

IMG_8146.jpg

IMG_8159.jpg

and grab a snack or two.

IMG_0814.jpg

We will return back to our room around midday, graze the Concierge offerings and then take a little break.
In the afternoon we will head down to the Wave. They offer a complimentary organic beer tasting for guests of the Contemporary Resort. And while Tom will enjoy tasting the beers

wavebt.jpg

I will just try to do the same with a nice “non beer” drink myself.

IMG_2632.jpg

After the beer tasting we will take a boat ride to the Wilderness Lodge

IMG_3810.jpg

IMG_3815.jpg

and enjoy the resort for a while, maybe even pick up a cupcake

IMG_3780.jpg

and enjoy the view of the geyser. When the evening rolls around we will snack around the Concierge offerings again, maybe get a flatbread from the Contempo Café

IMG_3785.jpg

and pack up our things again. We will then again watch Wishes from our balcony,

DSC_0052.jpg

grab a few more snacks from the Concierge and bring them back to the balcony to watch people head home and soak in the view of the Magic Kingdom at night.

DSC_0043.jpg

I guess we will call it a day around midnight. Moving day the next day.

This sounds like a nice slow day of lots of different things to do. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

I LOVE slow days - my favourite vacation days! :thumbsup2 And since we are staying club level we really want to make the most of the hotel stay and won't "stray" too much. ;) :lmao:
