Hi everyone,

My old college program roommie is coming to Orlando for a visit in May. We both really wanted to stay onsite, but she is on a budget (I am too, but not as much of a budget). Anyway, nothing was available at the values for AP or Fl Res so I have Pop booked at the rack rate which is $99/night. I'm ok with that, but I think she may be wanting something a bit cheaper (which I think may be hard to find).

We would like something safe and relatively clean, offering Disney transportation, and even airport transport in case I am not there to pick her up. The cheapest thing I found was a couple decent places that I remember for $85. But IMO, I'd rather spend $10 more a night and know I'm onsite since we will be doing just Disney, with the exception of maybe going Downtown one night or to CityWalk. Anyway, what would you all suggest?

Thanks for your help! :flower3:

I stay exclusively off site and usually recommend it for saving money, but if you have to take a shuttle to the parks and need transportation from the airport, I think you are probably better off on site.
There are definitely some less expensive hotels in the area. You can do a search on hotelmartusa.com or hotelkingdom, but many shuttles are a pain and transportation from the airport can be expensive. At least on site, you will have Disney transportation and Magical Express from the airport.

That is exactly what I'm trying to explain to her  . I'm all about staying onsite and she is too but I'm willing to pay more for it. I think what will happen if we stay offsite, we will use the shuttle once, hate it, decide to drive (I'll have my car) and end up driving to the parks, paying for parking which can definitely add up. I probably wouldn't drive at all if we stayed onsite.

But Thanks for your reply!

generally hotels close to the airport, have free shuttles to the airport.

I don't know any besides Disney that has both.

outside shuttles are not like WDW ones. they generally only come 3 or 4 times in the morning and evening. morning are for going to the parks, evening are for returning to the parks.
