Help me with car rental Dec 9-16

We have a minivan right now because my inlaws were coming with us making us a party of 6.

Now they are not coming. I don't want to pay for a minivan since we don't need that space now.

I prefer National or Alamo. I'm going to code search myself right now but if anyone knows of some great codes that are working right now to save me sometime, post here, email me or PM me.

The rental codes that I found are for National. I use the carlson travel code but as advised on the boards not 100% dependable. you can use any amex rental code 5002968 with coupon code.

I don't have an Amex so I am hesitant to use that code. I used the following:

Contract IDs:
5000304 - Walmart code
5504966 - another Walmart code
5007125 - Emerald Club code
NCRLESS

NCRLESS is giving me a high base rate. The other 3 all gave the same base rate on an Intermediate, which was $196.

I also tried the WWEB rate code, but that really jacked up the price. So I am not incorporating this right now.

I used Coupon ND41 which gives me $20 off the weekly rental.

Total price, after discounts and taxes, $225.09. Yuck. Hoping as we get closer, price will come down a little more. I'd like to be closer to $150 if at all possible.

I have found the rates for Alamo to be lower right now. I used contract id 430710 RC...BY and coupon code af5562odw. The contract id is a walmart code and the coupon is for a free day with a mastercard. If you are using visa check mousesavers for other coupon codes.

Thanks for that info! i managed to get a better rate for january than I previously had with that mix of codes!
