Hi
I am a little confused about this discount. We are staying 10 days and would like an 7 day park hopper vs the 4 day park hopper that you can use with the discount. We are booking our room and dining plan together with the military discount (provided it is offered again). Does this mean we have to buy the tickets separately? can it be added to our magic bands? Will this affect our fast pass+? I am very confused! TIA for any helpful hints!

Tickets can't be added to a military discount room. You can add dining, but it's full price. It will turn out even cheaper this way for you. Buy your tickets through the mousesaver newsletter link. So, you get the room discount (we're saving a little over 600 at POFQ with the Military discount. Plus, we'll save another 120 on our tickets. Not as good as what FD would get us, but it is very nice. Also, we've been saving by purchasing disney gift cards at target using our red card/Pharmacy discount. So, we'll save another 250 on that. So, overall, saving a thousand : )

Some resorts get an even bigger discount... we got 30% for POFQ. You save a TON if you want to do deluxe. 40% off of the really high prices :)

As for the tickets... the 4 day is the only way you can buy it... can't add days (according to the CM we spoke to). So, it was cheaper for us to just use mousesavers on our 10 day passes.

Ok so I should plan on getting the mousesavers discounted tickets! How long does it take to get in the mail? and can they be added to the magic bands? TIA!!!:thumbsup2

Definitely get the discount tickets from Mousesavers. I mean, if you are going military, you could get the "Stripes" tickets at shades of Green for even more of a discount (because they are TAX FREE). I think we'd have saved another 40 dollars. However, to get them tax free, making them a better deal, you can only pick them up while you are at Shades of Green. You can get them at other posts, but not tax free. This was the deal breaker for us. We wanted to be able to link ours to our bands ahead of time. You can link the tickets using "my magic plus". When you go in to your my magic plus reservation there is a place to link your tickets... any disney tickets will work. Now, I've heard some have had issues with Fastpass plus. We aren't at our 60 day mark yet, so we don't know. Most issues seemed to have been taken care of. Someone else might know more about that.

Oh, you can choose your shipping method from the mousesavers link. If you need them sooner, you can pay a little extra for faster shipping.

Sorry for hijacking! Why can't tickets be added to a package with a military discount ? Are they really supposed to be purchased separately ? What if I buy a package through ears of experience? Sorry but now I'm even more confused lol

Im not sure what disney's exact reasoning is for not selling tickets with the package. I am assuming because they offer the 4 day miltary tickets. You can get tickets from any authorized dealer. We are now planning on buying them through disney at the hotel when we get there. We will purchase disney gift cards from target with our debit card and use our pharmacy rewards as well to save 190 on our tickets. Undercover tourist saves us about 80 if I remember correctly. Hope this helps!
