Help me Please!!! Uploading pictures on this board

I have pictures I'd like to upload that are saved on a word document. It seems you have to change it to a web address and a few others things before you can post the pictures. Can someone explain this to me. The following was the explaination from disboards and I still don't get it. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Adding Images

To include a picture or graphic within the body of your message, you can simply surround the address of the image as shown here:

Note that the http:// part of the image URL is required for the code.

You can even create a thumbnail-type hyperlink by surrounding your [img] code with a [url] code like this:

[url=http://www.disboards.com/images/disboards.gif][img]http://www.disboards.com/images/vb_bullet.gif[/url]

This produces a link like this: .

Well, the first thing you have to do is upload it to a server - I don't think you can load pics from your computer. Imagestation.com and Shutterfly.com are two of the major hosting sites I know of. If you choose Shutterfly, I can help you with the next steps - I've never used Imagestation, though.

I'll use imagestation for these steps:

1. Go to Imagestation. Sign up. Once done, go to My Imagestation.

2. Upload the image you want to post. Image will be stored in the storage bin.

3. Go to storage bin. Click on the image to post (it'll open up in a new window).

4. Right-click on the image and click on properties. Highlight the address (http://....) and right-click and hit copy (ctrl+c)

5. Open a new browser window and go to the DISboards.

6. Reply or start new thread. In the message box, click on IMG and ctrl+v or right-click and paste the address in the box.

7. Post your thread/reply. Voila... instant picture.

8. For more pictures, repeat from step 3. (This is why having 2 windows is great. Makes it easier to go back and forth)

And do not attempt using the DIS photo gallery, it's been broke for weeks. Try www.imagestation.com as a good one. Come and practice on the Tech Board, always help there.
